I’m sure I read he’s a doubt for the Arsenal game, I could be wrong as everything gets muddled together in pre season for me.

I've heard suggestions that he's the Brazilian Ledley King & just gets patched up for games but you'd think he'd have at least had a run out at some point if he was fit.

Nothing from the club, some no mark journalist decided he was based on his lack of preseason involvement and now some suggesting he's done for good!

It might have been from me, Fletch said on the Garibaldi podcast at the end of last season that he barely can train, doesn't do friendlies and is so occupied patching up the knocks and bruises he's had over the years that all he does is recovery and team meetings with the team.

Neither McKenna or Worrall are up to the standard we want to get to. It's harsh but it's just the reality. I think we can cope with one of them as a back up option but not both.

The drop off in quality from Felipe to these is massive so it's no wonder the club are targeting another CB.

Loads of top players do it to be fair, Ancelotti commented a few years ago that his training sessions were like a ghost town at Real Madrid because half the team don't train - they just recover and play.

I think Felipe was being patched up towards latter games then Arsenal at the end he went down -was it his back I think? Did he get subbed or did he carry on. Might be he needs more time, hopefully nothing to serious but seems unlikely he’ll play against arsenal given no preseason matches.

Of course, I realise we aren't yet in the thick of a busy season, but old legs might feel as if we are.

I remember hearing that Shilt's was insistent on catching a few balls before the european cup final in Madrid and the only decent grass they could find was on a roundabout. Upto that point they hadn't trained before the final.

It pains me to say it but he has been given a fair chance at this level but he's not up to it.

His strengths don't translate to this level, unless he is protected properly he just cannot compete. He was really poor tonight & JW was probably as bad but the difference is Joe does give you the occasional good game & run of form.

Worrall is a squad player. McKenna helps balance the books with a move to his level.

He was excellent in the Championship but sadly he just isn't good enough for the step up. He was all over the place tonight. There was a point where 4-5 passes in a row just went flying up in the air to land at the feet of an opponent.

If we need to sell one centre half to bring another one in, sadly it has to be McKenna. I imagine there will be interest from Celtic or the championship.

£5m would be reasonable for him I think to say he's in the final year of his contract.

Will always love the bloke for the contribution he gave in the last few seasons, but he looked comfortably below the level tonight. Definitely an area we need to strengthen, especially with the injuries we've got and will continue to see throughout the season.
