i've always seen Mckenna as a slight upgrade on Worrall so it's surprising so many have Scott as first to go. Other than maybe pace, what does Worrall do better?

I thought he looked like he settled in at this level before his injury, there’s loads of players I’d be getting rid of before McKenna.

He’s more than good enough to be a back up option for us IMO.

If we push on this season then next summer I might look at replacing him but we’re a little while away from that yet.

Timing of tackles, imo.
only towards the end of the season. Before that, worrall was tackle shy in the box, i wouldn't want to depend on worrall for the whole season, you never know when he'll have his ronald mcdonald boots on, not to mention his pace.

I thought he was playing well before he got injured. Still has his best years ahead of him too.

Worrall reads the game better and is slightly better on the ball.

Worrall’s passing is the absolute bare minimum level I would want from a centre half in the big league and unless that continues to improve, he won’t be able to keep up with our progress for much longer either.

Mckenna is a fantastic head it and kick it defender and I’ve got no problem whatsoever with him as a bloke, but if we bring in another centre half, it should be someone who goes straight into the eleven alongside Niakhate and Felipe. Boly and Worrall next men up after that. Biancone who knows?

All depends on Niakhate’s injury of course.

One of those ‘too good for the championship, probably not quite good enough for the prem’ players. His lack of pace really undermines everything he does well - he’s a fantastic defender but against players with that extra 10/15% agility and physical attributes at the elite level he seems to be just short of what you’d want for a team aspiring to move upwards

Sad, but true. Like Scott a lot, but I'm not sure whether the Premier League might be a step too far for him or not. Provided we bring in a better replacement and Celtic are offering us a decent fee, it might be for the best.

Was incredible in the championship. A bit of pace and he’d be top draw but can’t cope with the pace of the prem. He makes more mistakes as I think even he is aware of it so tends to rush
