Coops dropped Yates for Sangare for Burnley after Ryan put in a brilliant display against Chelsea. This particular incident was self-inflicted.
Yeah, but I guess on the flip side, if Coops didn’t play Sangare, the entire fanbase would be saying ‘why spend £30 million and not play him?!?!?!?!?’
There’s always something to moan about or be happy about

Maybe so, sometimes i wonder if its just players need breaking and rebuilding regarding Rodri hes diffo gravy mate..
Yes but that's my point about Rodri, it took him a good year to look half the player he is now. Sometimes it takes that in this league. Sangare has been far from bad or a liability, as I mention he just isn't dominating games which is what people want him to do.

We were saying the same things about loads of players this time last season that proved to be pivotal in our survival like Lodi, Taiwo, Mangala... the list goes on.

Work on the principle of what makes ya bad makes ya better…….that don’t work for pneumonia though 😬

I think Sangare is getting some unnecessary flack.

When Fabinho joined Liverpool the first 6 months were attrocious,he was so bad it made the £35million spent on Andy Caroll look like it was worth it.

He'll come good if he has the right attitude,he had all the qualities needed to be a good PL midfielder.
Taking six months to bed in doesn't have the same potential consequences for Liverpool as it does for Forest though

Not sure we can afford anyone that time

Unless Ryan is carrying an injury I'd have thought after the Chelsea game it would have been him making the start and Sangare brought on after a hour to blood him in the premiere league

You can conclude that those types bemoaning a repeated team after a good away win as f***ing idiots and their opinion matters not one iota.

Their opinion matters as much as the next person's. That you disagree with them is just part of the fun.

Maybe Yates was feeling a few degrees under, maybe not?.

Coops will make decisions we disagree with from time to time.

We are not a team full of goals at the best of times so lining up without a recognised centre forward didn’t bode well

Liverpool (with the exception of old slobby-chops, who was a level above everyone today) didn’t really have to break sweat to win that but most of us were predicting a comfortable home win so we shouldn’t be that shocked it has come to pass

Thought Murillo, Sangaré and Turner all did ok overall despite being primarily responsible for the goals respectively. We have to forgive Murillo because his ability coming out of defence will be massive for us moving forward. Boly, Niakhate and Serge (again!) made mistakes in much more dangerous areas and got away with it.

Turner’s was a horror show that which was a shame as he’d made some decent stops to keep the score down. That rush of blood killed the game dead so if there is any noise in the background for the Greek to get his chance we may get to see what the fuss is all about next weekend

I’ll put this one to bed much quicker than last week. The real frustration stems from the fact we should have beaten Palace and Luton and be sat much prettier in the table.

I still think we are close to finding a performance that feels like we have properly arrived this campaign. Hopefully it comes next week with Taiwo back in the mix and a more glamorous opponent in town to get the WFCG bouncing again

Don’t despair people. It’s still way to early for all that b*ll*cks.

Well... thought we did ok at times but ultimately conceding the second killed any hope. Random thoughts:

Dominguez, while not at his very best today, is a fantastic pickup.

Sangare could do with being nastier - thought he looked leggy after the whack on the head, though on a few occasions he let them play through when he could have taken the foul for the team. Couple of very nice distance passes from him.

Elanga worked his socks off feeding on scraps - he deserved the one that hit the bar going in for that alone.

Nice to see Taiwo back, though shit news that a half fit T replaces a now unfit Wood.

Gakpo - why noone took the opportunity to smash him is why modern football isn't as fun - I thought Serge might but alas.

Turner/Toffolo: what a mess. I blame Toffs because I've made it clear I don't rate him and thought Turner played pretty well otherwise.

Stephen Warnock - I hope I never gave to hear that twat commentate again: What a bell end.

Coops: I thought at the hour mark that there was something to play for here - he rolled the dice but ultimately it didn't work out. No shame in that.

A loss away against a top three side - is that all of them bar the fake ones (Spurs) played now? Be interesting to compare returns from the same fixtures last year. Maybe I will if someone hasnt already...

The game went as many have in the Premier, poor game plan and basic mistakes. I still believe this group of players could play better under different management/ideas.
Sure you’ve got a point and going back a few seasons ago Forest would change. However Steve Cooper is at the same time growing with the squad, he’s very much Nottingham Forest and I’ll guarantee the players respect him for that. Once he’s happy to unleash he will and we’ve definitely seen an improvement. Liverpool away is never a barometer

Totally this.only a fool can't see that.
With a different manager and ideas this squad should be top 6.no excuses.
Pathetic how we never tried to attack and set out to defend from the start. We should be attacking teams like liverpool rather than cowering in our penalty area
