If the
Im not 100% sure the cock up was all his fault toffs going for it and ducking out last second..my opinion 50/50
The keeper should not leave the area unless he knows he can get to the ball. If it came down to the crunch turner should have just cleaned toffolo out and worried about it after.
For parts of the game turner looked nervous like he's never been in goal before

Think Turner however will be lucky to keep his place. Cannot have a keeper doing that. It’s not an isolated incident either. Several close calls with his poor decision making by this season. Brentford should have had a penalty due to his poor play. Maybe time to change the keeper.

He's been a bit sketchy for a few games now

Wouldn't be averse to giving the big Greek a go

Wasn’t expecting anything but a loss, it’s not the result that bothers me. It’s the calamitous performance that pisses me off. Never in the game, and it’s as if the players were resigned to losing before they got there.

Still, hopefully it’s a blip and we recover quickly. Need to be better or we’ll be in the shit again

I've just heard a statistician say that we haven't turned our away form around because "We've lost 4 of our last 6 away games".

It might be accurate but Jesus the 4 losses have been to the scousers, Arsenal, Man City and Man U.

I think based on us not having won a game at Anfield for 45 years and not picked up a draw there in 33 years then we weren't likely to do anything. We don't have to go there again this season in the league.

We made errors for each goal and got punished and didn't get the same luck the other way.

Liverpool didn't really break sweat but when they come back to the wfcg they will have a much tougher game.

There were several moments in that match where he was jittery (It was the Brentford game I meant). If he was out undisputed number 1 I would say persist, but we have a good keeper waiting in the wings to be given a chance. It doesn't send out a good message to him if you don't play him after repeated mistakes.
No disrespect to turner but he looks like a back up keeper to me.
Time to give chakademus a go I think

I was more disappointed with the Luton result. 3 against a club that's been among Europe's elite over the past decade and with few striking options available wasn't the worst it could've been. But getting nothing against the top teams makes it all the more obvious that our progress depends on beating those lower end clubs that we've been drawing against.

Deep sigh, shrug and we go again next Sunday, have a good week folks.

Nope. I just watched the highlights. The goal he had zero chance on, and he made a couple of excellent saves.
He meant Brentford. I think he was unfairly criticised for the goal, but he himself said he should have saved it. Bigger error was the penalty he should have given away on Wissa.

Yeah for me Toff ducks as if he's had a shout from Turner. To be honest as a defender running back when your keeper is running full pelt towards you it's got to be off putting and in Toff's mind he's probably concerned he's about to get completely wiped out.

Turner made the mistake, the point is that turner should have got the ball when he is so far out of his area so it's his mistake. Never mind getting dropped cloughie would have sold him for that.
