Completely agree. I still think theres definitely a decent striker there, despite all the comments on here and I would bet that once he's in a team that appreciates him and gives him a run in the right position to maximise his attributes, he'll score a shedload. I fully expect him to score against us if he comes back....

Did we not play him in his rightful position? Big striker asked to play with his back to goal, run channnels & put the ball in the back of the net. If thats not his MO then I stand corrected.

Im not sure Taylors go many legitimate gripes here, our style should have suited the player, he had chances, he missed them. I started to worry when he got to the point he stopped backing himself altogether in favour of falling over for cheap set pieces.

Don't think he covered himself in glory all told.

I'll be in Birmingham next Wednesday so I drop him off at St Andrews & they can put up with him throwing himself on the floor looking for free kicks

I live in Birmingham. I could pop round there and tell lies about him just to make sure they don't pull out of the deal.

Does anyone really believe that with only 2 fit strikers at the moment (Grabban and Taylor), that Forest would consider selling 1 to a Championship rival?
If Forest do manage to secure another striker then I think they would be unwise to let Taylor go until January at the earliest, as the new striker will need to prove they are capable and also stay free of injury.
Bowyer's experience with Taylor at Charlton, and Taylor's lack of really making an impact at the City Ground so far, make it a fairly easy guess that Bowyer may well want to test the water regarding Taylor.
It still doesn't make the possibility of Forest agreeing to a transfer or loan as things stand any more likely.

No EMOJIs or bad language!

We have 3 strikers (Da Costa is back) and Taylor is clearly out of favour. Makes sense to get rid if an offer comes in, as he won't be playing much (if at all) regardless of incomings.

I agree mate, we have a habit of making it difficult for players to succeed here - but I think we did what we could for Taylor, he just disapointed when he did play.

Who did “cover themselves in glory” last season?.

I’m not saying he wasn’t disappointing last season but frankly you could apply that to 98% of the squad. The only players who really impressed for me were Worrall and Garner.

Leaving that aside and not wanting to keep repeating myself I think there’s a decent striker in there.

Problem for me is I ended the season still thinking Grabban is a much better striker than him.

For me Taylor is a good player and not the problem. The problem is our lack of creativity in that final third and the slim pickings we offer the likes of Taylor and Grabban.

It's no coincidence that Grabban's goals dried up last season as well such was the paucity of genuine chances afforded to him.

Rooney gets more chances from Colleen than our strikers got from the rest of the team. I wonder if she can play left back.

Not impressed with either of our main strikers last season. The old excuse of no service is valid if the strikers got into good positions, fought for every ball and looked a danger to the opposition.

Our strikers wandered about, made little impression on the opposition and looked impotent in attack.

There must be better around.

Completely agree. Grabban was excellent in his first two seasons but looks shot now, Taylor just looks a really poor fit for the club. We need someone new.

I'm still adamant that Grabban could do a good job as a No10

He'll bang goals in for Birmingham.

Criminally under-utilised last season.

Although by all reports, a complete Tory prick, so there is that. ;)
