I suspect we’ll retain 3 at the back for this but go to a more typical 343:

Turner
McKenna Worrall Boly
Aina Yates Danilo Neco
Awoniyi MGW Johnson

For the lineup police that lineup is as follows

GK
LCB CB RCB
LWB CM CM RWB
LCF CAM RCF

The lineup police are plague upon this forum. Sick of it
Grammar Police here:
1 lineup isn't a word: it should be hyphenated as in line-up;
2 the first sentence needs "a" between "are" and "plague" to make it make good grammatical sense;
3 the fragment after the first sentence is not a sentence: it needs a subject, as in "I am" and then "Sick" requires the capital S to be made lower case.
Which would you prefer, the Line-Up police, or the Grammar police?

(N.B.: this post is intended to be taken as humour).

Same for most games in the Prem.

I don't think you can apply "banana skin" to "most" Premier League games.
There are a few to which the term can be applied, but most games will be closely fought contests.
To me, banana skin is applicable only when one team is expected to beat another, and an upset to the form-book is unexpected, but could happen.
My wife tells me I'm becoming pedantic as I age.
I explain to her, I'm not becoming pedantic.
I have always been pedantic!

Play 4231 and we should twat this lot, they’re awful.

Got to be beating the likes Sheff U and Luton at home this season so we don’t have to rely on beating the top 6 when they visit.

BJ, MGW and Elanga behind Taiwo, if Taiwo can only play 60 mins switch him for Wood once Taiwo has bagged his second of the evening.

at home, we should be playing with 2 cb - boly and mckenna to free up more attacking options , all our current fit cbs looked like they are running with lead boots so having 3 makes no difference unless we are going to play a defensive low block game.

Apart from Awoniyi for Brennan, I reckon it will be the same team as yesterday.

Given the quality of the opposition, Forest should be able to set up relatively normally instead of defending deep, but we could see Danilo dropping a bit deeper to match up numbers in midfield.

This looks like a scrappy, niggly game but one Forest should win if they hold their concentration.

All games with a reasonable chance of 3pts are vital. Whist this is by no means a "must win", especially at this time of the season, on paper , along with Luton and maybe a couple of other matches, Friday is a match where anything less than 3pts puts greater stress on other "more difficult" games.

Are there shades of Bournemouth 22/23 expectations & underestimating the opposition creeping in?

If Sheffield do go down, then it's vital that we take 3 points from them at the CG just as we did to every relegated team last season to alleviate our own troubles.

I don't care about trialling formations and personnel, the result is more important for our more "winnable" games. Pre-season was the time for that, but we couldn't get a 1st team out so we'll have to do what we do best and win at the CG. October onwards if we have the breathing space can be the time to develop, until then - as you were.

You've got your left and right sided players the wrong way round.

In absence of a shirt sponsor, we should plaster the water bottle image right on the front of the shirt for one game only.

Bournemouth were underestimated but mainly because they were one of the weakest of that Premier League season & were a realistic chance at 3 points. Maybe it was a wakeup call.

However - Sheffield United are one of the weakest teams of any Premier League on paper, the lineup even by their owns fans omission would struggle to finish above mid table in the Championship.

If we want to press on this season and be away from danger this season - we need 3 points from this game. Maybe we are underestimating them, but it doesn't mean they are not shit. I don't subscribe to the we need to thump them message but we do need a win.

Playing Devil’s Advocate a bit but if we don’t win then the seeds of doubt will be sown and toxic elements will be rife. It's a massive "should win and need to win if we are to start thinking beyond just survival again because if we cant beat them, how will we beat x, y, z??"

The toxic elements should be aware that we were beaten by Bournemouth last season but then went on to beat Liverpool, Brighton and Arsenal etc.
