Toff not even on the bench is overly harsh.
Yep, as is Mangala being subbed at half time against Bournemouth and being on the bench today.

He's having a look at options isn't he as mentioned above. Makes you wonder if he's sacrificing the result a bit 😕

This almost seems like a preseason side.

The two best wingers at the club.

The best fit striker we have.

A world cup winning full back on one side and a player we all thought was outstanding through the first month or two of the season on the other.

Our 30m CM alongside our (2nd best now) Brazilian wonderkid and MGW?

I don't see how this is anything but a strong side.

Wasn’t expecting that line up, but I like it so get the ball rolling Forest, fast and efficient to 3 magical points on the joyride to mid table madness and safety

Interesting line up.

A bit of a free hit against a football playing team and see what supposedly quality players can do.

This could help these type of players as opposed to playing restricted, defensive, fight relegation agricultural football.

He certainly didn't see the best of Mangala the other day though, so maybe that's a managerial kick up the arse too?

While I can't see it coming off today I'm pleased he's having a good look at that front three/four.

Big day for Hudson Odoi I feel... need to get him fit and firing as he clearly has quality, but is also making the kind of simple mistakes a player low in confidence does.

What are the odds on a Montiel red today?

Obvious Taiwo injury aside, this is the kind of on-paper team we have recruited for. Hopefully Nuno can get a tune out of them! Danilo + Sangaré need to be turned on 110%.

Am encouraged by MGW given the captaincy. Clear sign of Nuno trusting a matured MGW compared to last time he managed him.

I don't mind the look of it too much in isolation, it's one of those line-ups where if we get a few breaks you can see us scoring a few, but I definitely think that....between this line-up and the last one....Nuno has come to the club with very little knowledge of the players, and is finding out as he goes.

Not ideal when you're about to be pulled into the relegation zone.

4231, same shape as Saturday I reckon, but with CHO on the right instead of Origi. Oh, and a new midfield pair and back four. Could be fun! 😂

Can't argue it's a brave line up but don't like that holding midfield two at all.

I wonder whether he's playing Morgan deeper in a central three, with Elanga and CHO backing up?

Don't like the lineup. Dropped the form player and the player of the year, not addressed the obvious weakness in the middle of the defence.

I think Montiel will be a good Premier league player next year. But Williams has been great last couple of games.

I just mean it feels experimental. I can't imagine we've fielded such an attacking-minded side before. But folk who wanted Cooper out did want us to play more on the front foot, so perhaps we'll get to see if we have the quality to take it to them. Will be an interesting few hours.

This is sadly where "new slate for everyone!" has it's downpoints.

I'm very nervous about this season now. It has the feeling of Nuno putting his stamp on things much like Karanka did mid-season when he took over from Warburton.

Hopefully I'm overthinking it.

We’ve tried to be ultra defensive and we always make a mistake to concede a goal or two and lose games. We may as well try and out score the opposition Because sitting back and hoping not to concede would get us nowhere at St James’s.
