I'll definitely get a few trips over this season. As for the other games, is there any sense that ifollow will continue this year or was that only because fans weren't allowed to attend?

Not sure they've said yet. I'd certainly like them to carry on with it.

How are we all feeling about it? I don't want to say Post Coronavirus because it's going to be knocking around regardless but do we think there will be any changes
Testing at the turnstiles, face masks, no queueing for food etc.. or will it largely be as it was before?

I can't actually decide whether or not to buy a season card. Normally, I share my dad's but he's retired now so he wants to be going every game.
On the one hand, it's been 490 days since we've been allowed to watch Forest and I missed going, especially with my old man. I don't just miss the football, I miss the crowd, the shit food, the noise etc..

That being said, can't say i've been massively entertained with us as a club in the last 490 days and the lack of any kind of movement this summer so far has me a little sceptical.
I'd probably have spent the money on a season card last year but in the cold light of day, £365 seems a lot. Right now, the seat next to my dad is available though and might not be for much longer.

Is anyone else in a similar boat? I'd appreciate the advice.

You need to renew and go with your Dad. One day he won’t be around to go with, and that first game there without him will feel like a massive kick in your balls.

my eldest son (who lives in London) & I both renewed our season tickets. He became a dad - during the pandemic - to another little Forest fan. He says he'll come to as many games as he can. I intend to go to all the home ones and as many away as possible. Forest are part of my life - sadly according to my wife. Hopefully we can get tickets for Coventry away.....U Reds.

That is so true. You potter along thinking things will never change; then one day-BANG- it's gone and you regret things you should have done, but put off for another day.

It's all about mid-table...
100% Vals.

The thing I feel is that folks think they'll live forever, although we live longer in stats, there's millions and millions die before their three score and ten.

I always think am gooin 2moz, ya live then.

Absolutely. My mum died suddenly at an early age. Ever since I've been far more grateful for every new day and the moments spent with loved ones before we all inevitably pass away.

Less nervous about going since myself and family are all double jabbed or will be by time season rocks around.

Got to the point whereby it seems it's a decision of trying to live a normal life or be forever scared of the virus, because it will always be with us now, so I choose the former because the latter isn't a choice.

My dad is very anxious about it, but he has renewed. I agree with others - if we don't go we'll just regret the time we could have spent with friends and family, and didn't.

After last night and how long we've been away, I put this on today to cheer me up.
Is there a better feeling than 27-28 thousand Forest fans belting out Mull Of Kintyre at the top of their lungs?
If there is, I'm yet to experience it.

Every reason to have the thing knocked down once planning permission is granted.

I've had the same seat in D-Block for well-over 30-years with a vantage-point that I really like, but they can't demolish the f***ing thing and replace it soon enough for me.

How it still gets a safety certificate every year baffles me.

We went to a hockey game a few weeks back with 25k and no masks, a lot of heavy colds and crud came from it but no superspreader shit, it was quite emotional actually to see so many people again, really nice.

Having seen the previous stand destroyed by fire in 1968(as I'm sure you did Otis),I must say it's replacement
is now looking like an embarrassing eyesore.

It does Cloughie, and probably because it was constructed to exactly the same design and footprint, using concrete and steel instead of wood/steel.

For the record, I ended up on the pitch that afternoon after escaping over the wall from the Main Stand terrace. It wasn't until seeing the footage from the Bradford City fire a couple of decades later that I realised just how serious our situation had been, and how lucky we were.

So for the last mth it's been totally acceptable to attend a football match without a mask and on Sunday we a witnessed nearly 70k attend Wembley for which I'd say the large majority didn't have masks on including the royal box.
How they can NOW come out with this to me is utter bollox.

Let's also not forget Wimbledon were again no masks were compulsory?.
Good luck with this I say as most fans including myself will say f*** off to masks but if they require vaccine proof then fine I'll take mine along happily.

Yes,I watched the events from the East Stand terrace. With hindsight,it seems more frightening than it appeared
at the time.

Supposedly Wimbledon and Wembley were government test events and everyone had to provide a negative test or proof of jabs. I can’t believe this actually happened at Wembley with those numbers of people!

A friend of mine is getting married this weekend, on the 4th attempt, with heavy restrictions and number limits still in place.

It's absolutely infuriating to her watching all the scenes over the last month from the Euros.
