Joe Baker's Dog

Having considered the risks and rewards, I think that I shall be attending all the games I am able.
The risk is that I may contract Covid, and at 67 that may not be a walk in the park to recover from.
However, I have had my 2 vaccinations with the Pfizer vaccine, and I shall wear a mask and gloves, and carry a bottle of hand sanitiser.
I shall also continue to avoid social contact at other times (suits me as I am generally happier with the company of myself, my missus, and our hounds).
I don't think I can take any other mitigating steps.
How many years will the virus hold sway?
If I don't contract the virus, or if I do and survive, then how long should I give up on what I believe makes life worth living?
I do not want to be at death's door from a non-Covid cause, and be there thinking "I wish I'd not given in to COVID, and resumed my enjoyment of life".
I shall continue to avoid close proximity to the infirm elderly, and anyone with serious underlying health conditions, but a week on Wednesday I shall be taking my seat, alongside my gorgeous wife to watch us progress to the next round of the League Cup.
How come you didn't get the Astra Zeneca vaccine? I had both jabs and caught covid a month ago. It wasn't pleasant and I still haven't got my sense of smell back...I think we should wear masks in enclosed spaces....but not when we're in our seats...2 guys behind me in Block R wore masks yesterday for the whole game.
