The ‘I have something to say about Forest that doesn’t warrant its own thread’ Thread

Unless I am interpreting it wrong it looks like we could benefit from a fixture change for once.

The Bournemouth v Forest game on the 3rd of Feb looks like it's going to be moved in the future meaning it's one less game without our African players leaving only Brentford & Newcastle games.

I think it just swaps to a day later, but they can’t say for definite until the TV fixtures are confirmed

In Summary:
A poor set of results sees us with just one more point than at the same point last season, although 3 league positions higher. Unsurprisingly, the goal difference has taken a hammering, but still sees us better than last season.
In the Head to Head - despite the poor run we've been on, we're only 3 points behind. Just one win from the next 2 games will see us back on par.

We’re 1 point better off than at this stage last season (14 points against 13 from 16 games).
If we lose tomorrow we’ll have the same record-14 from 17.

Oops! I didn't add the point from the Wolves game to that graph 🤦

I'm not going to bother watching it as they're usually full of dribble, but do they address the water situation in the Trent end? Genuinely intrigued if the "Trust" actually asked the questions allot of people want to know the answer to.

If they did, I don't recall it.

I'd say the questions were of a higher level. (Not saying more important, just more big picture).

There was a bit at the beginning where they try to establish the club did not edit the questions. The Trust guy does mention something about submitting questions but blah

So they asked for questions on twitter, and there were loads of tweets under that tweet about it and they didn't ask it.

Sounds about right.

Thanks though.

He does talk about them improving the existing facilities and basically says a lot of it is very old, has been under a lot of strain but it's a work in progress to continue improving the older stands.

Yes. He really emphasised just how important the fan experience is to the Marinakis family.

I see that Putin just gave a press conference with a large screen in the room containing some very pointed and awkward questions, which he pointedly ignored, preferring to answer more benign and simple questions.

Possibly he's been taking lessons from the club or, more probably, vice versa.

The chap from the trust did mention that many fans feel the existing facilities are no longer up to scratch generally. The chairman then fleshed that out a bit more and specifically mentioned the water supply in the loos amongst other problems, saying that he’s aware of these issues from social media, family and friends and recent news pieces (presumably when the Post and BBC radio Nottm brought attention to it). Whilst we don’t necessarily want him paying too much attention to some of the more ‘out there’ nutbags on Twitter, it was at least encouraging to hear that he actively takes in what’s being said on Facebook, Twitter, forums like this etc.

I'm going to hazard a guess that the only thing awkward is the way that guy shakes someone's hand. I bet it's really floppy and just brushes the back of the recipients hand. Uuurggghh. Shudders

Did you then proceed to drop the tins of beans and have have your placement of the shopping on the conveyer ruled offside?
Mate, you should try a German supermarket, you don’t get so much time to fanny about like that; the cashier almost throws your shopping at you, and if you don’t pack it quickly enough, you’ll get tutted at by the 120-year old granny in the queue behind you as well as the famous withering German stare.

Nottingham's dirty secret
The BBC have just confirmed that in 1982 a British Super League was proposed. Forest had won the European cup twice & the league in the 3 years prior. Yet the proposal had Sheffield Wednesday, Manchester City, Newcastle, Spurs and West Ham there instead of us.

Goes to show just how we were viewed even back then.

Absolutely baffling for a 40 year old like me who was only born a year after this. How could you possibly propose a league that doesn't contain the recent 2 time European champions?!?!

Baffling.
