With all those fans singing on the top of their lungs it must be impossible for the players not to be extra motivated for the fight!
The City Ground's amazing atmosphere was one of many things that made me so fascinated with this club! Come on you reds!!
I think some players feed off it more than others. See Mangala, he’s had his doubters but he’s loving here now, his work rate just goes up a notch at home.

Interesting to hear what the Sky Sports commentator thinks of NFFC after he commentated on the Forest v Villa game.

We all follow a wonderful football club.

Wrexham TV show did a bit on a similar topic in the second series. The players featured there come across similarly well tbf.

So nice of them to do that. The little lad was clearly over the moon.

yes, but we all know he can play. I suppose it gives that message to those still questioning that, so good of the club to put it out today.

Bit different him playing it in an empty stadium as opposed to a full one with both teams there (including the players who he probably idolises) and the whole world on TV, forgetting about that isn't easy and I think that's the issue he had - probably nerves and the occasion not capability.

I think it's likely they would have rehearsed/choreographed the pre-match routine anyway, so people know where to stand etc.

I agree. Nice gesture from the club to give him the chance to play for Armistice Day. Much more relaxed occasion and he did pretty well.
He's a quality player already. It's not an easy instrument to get a decent sound out of and to play in tune and whilst all the notes are in a triad there are some scary bits such as a few quickly repeated notes and the odd jump. Actually I think he was doing better on Sunday than in that recording other than the fact he lost his track. But he has good control of the tone and playing well in tune as well as musically and expressively too - which not all professional brass players manage! If he was down to play it at 13 he's clearly been playing well for a long while.

Aside from that, he obviously has the confidence to try and do it in front of a large football ground and also with the eyes of the country via Sky and abroad wherever else it was shown, in front of the playing staff and manager who he supports as a fan, which quite a few adults won't do let alone a young kid.

And then after it not going quite to plan, having the courage to stand up to it, to own his mistake, and to go back and do it again (minus the crowd etc). I hope they've asked him to do it again next year because he certainly deserves another go.

I don't know if Caiden or his family/friends read these forums, but they should be nothing but proud of the kid for his achievements. And top one for the club and Cooper especially for being so supportive of him.

When I used to keep a scrap book of Forest newspaper cuttings, after each game I used to keep a note on the top corner of the page of points gained against points needed for winning the Championship. Of course, I never thought we would win anything, but, one year as the season went on, it became clear by my simple, but effective method that we actually would win that title.

I used to reckon one and a half points per game was the target, win at home draw away, two points a game in those days.

This season, survival is the aim and around about 40 points are needed, so with 38 games to play, it doesn't need a maths wizard to plan on a point a game being pretty certain of survival. So at the moment we are on target, phew.
