Some pretty big deals made already, and I have a feeling there'll be plenty more. I predict that Manchester United will be the biggest spenders in the summer window.

Lallana for 26 mill is a joke just as 30 mill for Shaw is a farce English talent is overrated.

Great deals for Southampton. Shaw is a great prospect, and I suspect he may be the better deal of the two. I'm not sure Lallana will be good enough for the level Liverpool are aiming for. He's 8 years older than Shaw, who is only going to get better. There's only a couple of million between the price Chelsea got Fabregas for and what Liverpool are paying for Lallana, which says it all.

The problem with these players is that they go from being overrated, to hated.

They'll be scrutinised to the hilt because of their prices, really hope they don't flop because they're both superb players, and not typically English players either. Shaw should be England's LB for years to come, and Lallana can play in our next 2 major tournaments if managed correctly.

Everyone's reaction is "who will Southampton splash their cash on", but I think they've got ready made replacements in their academy and I think they'll do it right.

It's fantastic business for the Saints.

My Saints supporting mate tells me that the money they've received for Shaw and Lallana will be enough to run their Academy for at least six years.

That's a fantastic business model that we could look to emulate.

especially when you consider Chelsea are on the brink of signing Diego Costa for a reported £16m

put it this way

Fabregas £28m + Diego Costa £16m = £44m

Lallana + Shaw = £56m

ridiculous.
