As I've been saying in the Academy thread, the key to a healthy number of players in the squad (you really need 25 ready-to-play players when competing both in the home league and in Europe, not to mention cup games) is for the Academy to steadily produce good talent. Only one club-trained player is simply not good enough. We've very often had the same problem, and had to play, for example, with an inexperienced 17-year-old striker at the Old Trafford. The problem of the lack of club-trained players is not important enough if your list B players are top quality and proven (as has been the case for us this season), but under normal circumstances this is rarely the case.I think our current squad would look like the below, we'd essentially have to cut 2 players from the 'squad' we've used this season. Presumably Moreira & Hennessey?
