Re: As yet unappointed Manager #50

The problem is going to be finding someone who is willing to work for just the remainder of the season, I imagine the coach we have a view of for the long term isn't currently available (otherwise this would have happened before now). Managers don't like to sign anything less than a 2 year contract, not sure what manager would accept the job knowing he's just a glorified temp

At least if John Terry gets sacked during a game, he can have a big ceremony the minute he does so, with a guard of dishonour and everything!

Well, exactly - I just know that by posting it, someone will now say that it's a done deal (either here or elsewhere).

I think he’ll want the job but probably won’t even get a response to his application

Well I doubt that’s a DM idea. Our greek friends love shit defensive football, don’t they ?

Dan Taylor pretty much saying we're going for Cooper:

As I posted a few weeks back he'd be my pick, I don't think there's a 'right fit' for this nuthouse of a club at present but I believe out of what coaches are readily available he'll be one of the better fits

Another manager that plays terrible football. But this one falls out with the board and puts himself forward for other jobs when he's currently in one. Brilliant. Well done Forest.

Laughable, isn’t it?

To be fair, if I was Steve Cooper I'd be swerving this job. His reputation after Swansea is pretty high, why tarnish it by coming to the World Famous Toxicity Ground?

I’ve no idea what our MO is, so trying to work out if a manager is a fit is tough.

But, how about JFH?

Or 4-2-3-1

His Swansea side were decent to watch. He's got pedigree with youth.

Id guess he'd tick alot of boxes for most.

The Greeks always pick managers like this.

Karanka
MON
Lamouchi
Hughton

I’m probably missing someone too. The Greeks will always be the decision makers here irrespective of who’s appointed in which role.

I wouldn't say that. Murphy wants a manager who works with and more importantly improves youth, not many about in the domestic game who has a better track record than Cooper for doing that. There are quite a few managers we could've gone for that would've made me worry more that DM isn't getting a say, don't think Cooper is one.

What does the bald man in the main stand car park say? Or was that Alex Neil.

I hope so - I did expect us to go the foreign route under DM. I’m sure someone will let us know within a few days.

If there's one manager who we need for a relegation battle, it's one who's similar to the last manager and and with no relegation fighting experience
