Attwell has always been a very poor referee. Him f***ing up things is certainly not exclusive to us. He was demoted years ago (in 2012) but somehow fought his way back on to the exclusive list. His running is excellent. I will give him that. But his decision making and feel for the game are poor, and always have been poor. He is a lousy referee, and I don't quite understand how he has a FIFA badge.

He's the ref who gave a goal when the ball didn't cross the line and was nowhere near.
He gave that goal against Watford, who just happen to be Luton's bitter rivals.

I think it's worth getting a bit more Taylor in to this and the media conversation. We are all being ushered in to making it all about Attwell. It goes deeper than that. Also it's a conversation that needs to be brought back to the word 'bias' rather than corruption again and again.

Anthony Taylor hugely at fault for the third and most obvious penalty - there's no (good - they'll be the odd fuckwit suggesting they just 'know it wasn't' or something) argument against that not being a penalty.
The other two he needed VAR for, the third he shouldn't have done, but then they 'let him down'/backed him/cheated as well. That third call beggars belief - it's as clear and obvious a penalty as you'll ever see. *****.

We also all know they will want the response dealing with before the the events that lead to the response which is not only backwards chronologically but backwards in thinking unless it's sheer arrogance. It's one or the other but it can't not be one of them.

Always going to be their agents rather than someone like Gillett who's isn't towing PGMOLHQ line despite him being demonstrably the best ref in the PL at the moment.

The downside is that we now face charges against the club, the manager and a player. Do we really need this at this crucial time?
I‘m as angry as any Forest supporter - very poor decisions too often.
The reaction of the mainstream media is now anti-Forest.
By all means make a big protest after the game but do it properly.
The Club statement yesterday recognises the error to claim bias - we have backpedalled.
I’ve followed our Club everywhere during our twenty three years outside the PL. I loathe many aspects of PL including refereeing, VAR etc. However, we need to be in the PL to grow our Club.
On the field this season we have underperformed - owners, management and players should also be accountable.
So…. Stuart Atwell, coming to Germany, you say?

Even the ref's signal that he got the ball makes no sense. I think it was clumsy rather than violent but even if he did toe the ball (he didn't) he's taking the man at the same time from behind, and he's just collapsing on his ankles, it's not controlled. Absolute shocker.
