Paul Taylor of the Athletic on FF this week, he must hate the fact Percy and Danny Taylor get all the exclusives and he just picks up scraps. I have never known him to break a major story

And today the aforementioned John Percy is on Forest Focus today. I have seen his posts but never his picture and he looks nothing like I imagined!

Think its members-only for now, but worth a watch

That's a shame as that was the only Forest centric podcast I listened to really, they could be a bit doom and gloom sometimes depending on who was on it, as a glass half empty kind of person myself it was a bit of echo chamber with my own thoughts :D I wanted someone to be a bit more optimistic to try and convince me otherwise.

A shame there's still not a good forest podcast, FF is decent for guests but generally pretty dull. I've tried some of the others but none of them draw me back after 1 episode. FFTV the worst for sure, don't get how people can sit through it, embarrassing really.

I notice The Garibaldi Gazette hasn’t returned for the new season.
I think it was only ever a flounce off from Arsher Ali. A screw you to the Garibaldi Red podcast. It never really had much of an identity, insight or purpose for me, and was a vanity project at best, plus Arsher was a terrible host (not a great guest on previous pods either).

My thoughts exactly.
MDA deserves better than being lumbered with that plank.

Agreed! Younger and more East Midlands than I imagined for a Telegraph journalist.

Yeah didn't really rate Ali, long-winded analogies that weren't as funny as he thought they were seemed to be the order of the day when he was on.

It would be good to get another podcast that had the forest supporting journalists and friends on it. I think that's the second attempt now that seems to have hit the buffers.

MDA said on twitter he doesn't have the time, that's a shame.

Isn't that Forest Focus? Likes of Fletch and Tails regularly but also Percy, MDA, Nathan Joyes etc.

Yeah Forest Focus has its faults but they're fairly minor, and he gets an excellent range of guests on. Latest is Felipe's, Murillo's, Sangare's etc English teacher!

I’m strangely interested in this -like to know more about these sort of things behind the scenes.

Sorry, but am obsessed with this Forest Fans TV thing and the fact I don't believe that "Wolfie" is a Forest fan. First according to the interview, he grew up in Bedford, which still doesn't explain his accent, never heard anyone from Bedford sound like that.

I have no problem with his "story" that he grew up outside and not having Forest family links, and him choosing Forest (because of our "weird" name) - that's fine if true.

He says he loved Nottingham and Forest so much, that he chose the uni here, but at that moment, he keeps scratching his nose and again when he talks about going up to matches (doesn't do it before or after - body language experts - please weigh in). I reckon he was probably a Spurs or United suppporter, went to uni in Nottingham. and got a passing interest in us, like a lot of folks who go to uni in other cities. and then jumped on the bandwagon post promotion. First ten mins is focused on his background.

Mmm, I can't say you're wrong as I don't know him and don't watch his podcast.

I can say that you can be a Forest fan living in Bedfordshire, with no family club alliegiances, having gone to Uni (Trent) there in the 90s and not having a Midlands' accent as that's literally my story too.

I don't know whether I scratch my nose when I talk about uni but I do remember a few odd pockets of my time there in amongst blowing my student loan on watching Forest and boozing in town.

Not disagreeing with your ultimate conclusion but if I'd be gutted if the calibre of my support was questioned on those grounds. We're all "Notts" Forest (deliberate error intended to be lightly ironic in context of the "true fan" subject matter, before anyone jumps on me).

Having grown up in Bedford before moving to Nottingham for uni and eventually settling in the Midlands I can assure you plenty of people round there sound like that.
