So long as it's not a bowel, I'd say anything goes.Always assumed humble pie was savoury but you saying they ate it out of a bowl has shaken my world view tbh.

I wouldn't class 4 points for us vs 7 points for them as having done remarkably well. He's not quite wrong though is he. Last season we lost both games but both were close. The season before we got 4 points off of them.
Syrianos had a massive amount of stuff in his data kit when he first came in after promotion. I know from talking to people who dealt with him in Germany, that his algorithms and data point is all custom based on his previous work. This was an interesting podcast. The guest was a dala analytics specialist. He talked about what information is harvested, how it's done and what type of data clubs are looking at for certain areas.
Something I was unaware of is how players are now using the data as leverage in contract talks, De Bruyne was one of the first and he didn't have an agent either as we know. Players are also using the data to find out which clubs might suit them when they are moving. Something to bear in mind when players are turning clubs down.
He also talked about how Liverpool developed their own in-house algorithm with an astro physicist in order to give a value to every action that occurs in games. It made me wonder whether we've developed our own bespoke system or if we've bought one in.
It's one of those thoughts where one thing happens (in this case a Forest victory in April 2022) and that forever becomes the narrative in a person's mind, regardless of anything that happens after. We see this level of lazy punditry time and time again.I wouldn't class 4 points for us vs 7 points for them as having done remarkably well.
Gary lives in his own world at times.
Yep - regarding signings, last time he was on he was berating the club for signing players for the squad but not signing Solanke and similar players who would improve the starting 11 - 4 new signings started on Saturday. It's one of those thoughts where one thing happens (in this case a Forest victory in April 2022) and that forever becomes the narrative in a person's mind, regardless of anything that happens after. E.g. Forest sign loads of players. This happened one summer so that's the narrative now. Forever.
You could actually go through every club in the league and come up with a throwaway comment that seems to be widely accepted but may or may not be bourne out of fact.
Cut Garry a bit of slack, he has done more for the club than you or I would ever do. It is all about opinions and debate is healthy, no need to throw your toys out of the pramYep - regarding signings, last time he was on he was berating the club for signing players for the squad but not signing Solanke and similar players who would improve the starting 11 - 4 new signings started on Saturday.
Can we separate the player from the pundit? Was a great player, probably a nice bloke but one of the worst pundits out there.Cut Garry a bit of slack, he has done more for the club than you or I would ever do. Football Ramble used to be the best football podcast by a country mile in the mid 2010s. It was just like being down the pub with 4 of your mates and having a laugh.I've never seen Football Ramble before but the title is promising...
You’re probably right. I’m fine with opinions and debate it’s the as assertions of facts which are wrong that get me, I find that just lazy and patronising.Cut Garry a bit of slack, he has done more for the club than you or I would ever do. The best bit was him disconnecting at the start. Unfortunately he came back.If anyone was playing Birtles bingo today they'd have almost got the full house. All that was missing was a mention of him playing centre half.
Yep, ruined my card today, I needed Grimsby Town and CB and when he got onto talking about Milenkovic I thought I'd got a winner, but no.Temps nearly got me a bonus line but both "top bins" and " break the lines" didn't show up so onto next week.If anyone was playing Birtles bingo today they'd have almost got the full house. I completed a line with the Dirty Harry quote.Yep, ruined my card today, I needed Grimsby Town and CB and when he got onto talking about Milenkovic I thought I'd got a winner, but no.Temps nearly got me a bonus line but both "top bins" and " break the lines" didn't show up so onto next week.
Absolutely gutted when he didn't mention him being a defender, as soon as he started talking about Milenkovich I thought my full house was gonna come up. He went nice and early with "Cloughie always used to say to me".Yep, ruined my card today, I needed Grimsby Town and CB and when he got onto talking about Milenkovic I thought I'd got a winner, but no.Temps nearly got me a bonus line but both "top bins" and " break the lines" didn't show up so onto next week.
Just watched it. Good pod.Looking forward to this one as commentators are always the best pundits and guests because they genuinely watch football for a living and will have huge note taking and info on each game, each player, etc etc.
Not like your bog standard ex-player Punditry drivel which consists of watching Man United v Liverpool then deciding that Forest "are going to struggle" or watching Arsenal v Spurs and deciding that they "worry" for Fulham this season.
The Premier League commentators are probably the 2nd most informed about every team in the division behind the clubs themselves.
I was pleased to see Fletch, Temps and Greg on this episode-Favourite panel. though do like Mark-stat man, is he from black box.Fletch in a positive mood. We must be doing something right!
