I don't watch the Sheffield United game?

Danilo and McKenna likely to lose their place in the starting 11??

5 at the back, 4 in midfield and spring counter attacking football with real pace.

I'd bite someone's hand off for a draw, unlikely as it is. This isn't the gauntlet it should be though.

Come on you reds!!

If we approach this in the same way as the Arsenal game I think we are good for at least a draw and could , actually sneak a 1-0 win. However if we turn up like we did last year, in awe and totally timid, it could become embarrassing.

Counter attack with speed and precision is the key against this ManUre side.

That, and Yates starting.

Gonna be watching this one in Japan. FYI the Forest brand ..badge is recognised here. Sure we’re outnumbered by the usual but Japan is prime territory for clubs like Forest, bit quirky and against the grain with a history like no other. Square peg in a round hole captive market.

Get cracking Forest marketing or I’ll do it for you.

Sneak a draw I’ll be delighted

I'm not sharing this optimism, if its Worrall and McKenna again. The one thing that Utd do have, is speed in their front line, and that pair worry me.

I suspect Ten Hag will shuffle the pack for this game and fix the glaring issue they have had which is that Rashford has to move back to the wing. That new center forward of theirs will probably be ready.

A good effort from Forest here but I can't see anything other than a 1 or 2 nil loss.

Should Top 10 Nottingham Forest go to the Theatre of Dreams and play for a win or a draw?

Last season we looked much worse than any of our relegation rivals against the top clubs. We've got room for massive improvement before we even approach the dreamland of actually earning some points.

I was walking down the street in Osaka back in 1997, rocking a Forest shirt (the Home „Labbatts“ one) and I was greeted with a cheery „youuuuu Reeeddddsss!!!“ from across the street, from someone who was clearly a local.

So, yes. Forest all over the world.

This is one to move Johnson to the bench for.

Back five (Aina left, hopefully Niakhate in back for McKenna)

Yates, Mangala and Danilo in the middle.

MGW off Taiwo up top.

Monkman

Grenville Morris
Yes. Arsenal starting lineup but with Taiwo for Brennan and hopefully Niakhate for McKenna.

0:2 , Forest fans singing "you're getting sacked in the morning" after the final whistle.

I wouldn't, he'll come good, needs minutes to get his sharpness back. Who would you play ahead of him?

Lol it’s like a mating call. Osaka is Fantastic isn’t it? In the years I’ve been visiting here I’ve always thought it really is the food capital of the world never mind Japan..forget the usual Paris etc.. here It’s the vast epic choices available to an average family.

Not that I would attempt to tell Cooper his job but can I suggest every day this week he sits the squad down and show them a match from 17/12/1977. Let them watch it and tell them. Right lads that is what we're striving to achieve. That's how to counter attack
on a side note people keep telling me that team wouldn't live with the speed and fitness needed for today's game. Look at Archie and Woody.
could one of you young boffins download the match please

I fancy us to win this. Complete pie in the sky of course but if we can keep it tight and break quickly…

I fancy a goal late in each half and to win 2-0.

Come on you reds!!

Darren Fletcher summed up the problems for lads like Danilo in this week’s Garibaldi Red podcast.
The football is possibly his one grip on reality at the moment.
I think dropping him might be counterproductive.
He is very talented: I think SC should stick with him.
Can't afford any passengers in a game like this. The competition for midfield/attacking midfield positions is intense and, at the moment, it would be unfair on any of the other lads to miss out whilst Danilo has been below par.
