Well that was a lot better than I expected. I thought the match was tough for Johnson and MGW. Brennan is always better coming in from the wing and MGW is better in the centre. MGW looked an idiot when he tried to play the ball out of defence and Brennan made the wrong decision for his chance on goal but I’m proud of all the players.

Turner's distribution was better today than from Navas or Henderson last season. Hope he keeps it up.

He was very assured with it, did nothing special but didn't give it away. He throws it out rather than kicking it, which I prefer as you have far more control over the power,place and pace only downside is distance

Presumably Arsenal get no xG credit for Saka's goal, because it doesn't count as chance, and the fact that you've got a player who can score out of nowhere counts for nothing.

Weird nothing was made of this. He's put his arms up on Boly and it's hit them. You'd think that wasn't a natural position and a penalty.

Partey left something on Mangala behind the ref's back, nothing made of that either.
