Why didn't we see how this guy did in our League Cup games before sending him out on loan is what I wanna know?

I despise Ray Trew and I think that he is a cancer on the game who will happily see County in non league as long as he can keep his more lucrative Lincoln City ladies team in the Premier league.

But, we need to have a good relationship with a local club to blood our youngsters and build their experience whilst being able to monitor their progress.

I hate helping Trew and would set up a deal meaning we get a contribution to wages based on appearances.

Should we cut our noses off to spite our faces?

Celtic (McGregor) and Aston Villa (Grealish), bigger clubs than you, were happy to loan their players and see them blossom - McGregor in particular. Have I missed - how are you privy to the deal arrangements? Is it on Facebook or somewhere? Link please.

The difference now is that as well getting loans in for nothing, Trew isn't prepared to fund their accommodation costs, which is why he suggested to Derry that he try and curry favour with us.

Can you send me a link to where I have suggested anything of the sort please.

I have said that I think that Ray Trew is a ****, that is my opinion and I stand by it.

Personally I would be delighted to help out our little brothers from across the river, I just think that a thankyou would be appropriate.

He should of been given a chance say against a team like Tranmere who knows

I'd rather he goes to the Saddies and play every game than one or two against the same level opposition for us.

On the subject, hello Notts fans. Welcome to our forum. Thanks for becoming our feeder club, we might let you keep your old prison ground for a bit before we turn it into our new car park.

After their absolutely embarrassing and epic lack of class when they thought they were rich, and the way they were wetting themselves with excitement this summer when we had a winding up petition, I would send our youngsters to County's main rivals instead.

Makes me laugh how they are so negative about us, acting like they're our local rivals and at the same time they are happy to borrow our players.

They can dish it out but if anyone replies in kind it is patronizing.

Yes, but in fairness we are trying to be patronising. Bless them, they must be so maladjusted.

Nothing against them. Think it works for both clubs and I hope we do it as often as possible.

I don't get the problem with the wages not being paid though, if that is the arrangement. It's not like either of those two will be earning a lot. They're developing our players of tomorrow, that's payment enough.

"Aren't we supposed to be the bitter and twisted ones? I would bet good money that most of them are the sort of Forest arseholes who once chucked 50p in a bucket and have claimed "we saved your club" ever since! Those slating Ray Trew for "abandoning" an injured player really do need certifying........"

I'd need "certifying" if I ever chucked 50p towards the Saddies!!

When a club has no money and is in danger of going into admin without a buyer and someone gives you some money to prevent this, then what is the result?
You're welcome. :)

Many of your posts on most subjects seem quite rational except when it comes to NCFC.

I have noticed this on many occasions and I am driven to the conclusion that at some point a county fan must have stolen you girlfriend or run over your dog or something equally evil.

Am I right?

Only QUITE rational??

As for your concern about my attitude towards the Saddies? Well, they rarely need an excuse to throw shit our way, so I'm happy to occasionally reciprocate.

You're entitled to any opinions you wish.

Personally I would be delighted to help out our little brothers from across the river, I just think that a thank you would be appropriate.

If McLaughlin turns out to be as good as Laing appears to be turning out then you can have a double thanks in advance.

History shows a lot of interaction between the two clubs.

Never really had time for this animosity business that goes beyond rivalry. I was brought up with folk who supported one club or the other but then would take the time to see the odd home game of the other club with their mates. Still - each to their own.

WHICH was a reaction to a prevoous post.

I THINK history has already proven me right on that one.

I do know a couple if people who are very close to the inner sanctum at County and they are very concerned at the attitude of the Trews towards the club. They view it very much as a business opportunity and really do not care about the club, it's history or it's future. You have to ask yourself where is the business opportunity at a league 1 club if you are not investing and aiming for promotion, I think the ladies could give you a clue.

QUITE honestly I always used to look out for your results and wished you well, but that is patronising apparently. You have to look at the attitude of a number of your own fans towards Forest to understand the animosity.

I would be more concerned at things such as your own poor gates rather than what is happening on the sunny side of The Trent, how many times have you had an attendance which exceeded the number of plastic fans you bought to The City Ground since the cup game?.

Apologies if the post looks a mess, I'm posting from my phone.

It's good to have a B team in the lower leagues. Maybe Greg Dyke was onto something...

Theres nowt wrong him going out on loan all I was saying is that he could of had a run out for us in the League Cup before being sent out on loan but having said that he might not have even needed to be sent out on loan just not been given a chance in our side

In the year of 'Nottingham, City of Football', it is right and proper that both clubs, represented by 2 good managers, and decent human beings, should co-operate. I hope that Laing continues his excellent start, and that McGlaughlin contributes as much.
