Left sided centre half, young and promising. With people wanting Danny Collins gone, surely this is the type of replacement we need? That gives us 4 centre halves. Wilson and Hobbs experienced. Lascelles and Laing young and upcoming. Ideal.

Yup. It's something that could be a major plus for us, much like when Wenger came to Arsenal knowing all the cheap but mint French young guns. If ever the time was right for Pearce it's now.

He would definitely have to be something spectacular to break into the side ahead of Hobbs, Lascelles & Wilson. I think he will very much be one for the future.
