Keinan Vincent Joseph Davis

If I were Keinan I would be telling Villa to get a move on now.

He isn't involved in their pre-season games and they have put a price on him that nobody is willing to pay.

At this stage they are stunting his career. I still think he will end up here, especially now Grabban has gone but stop taking the piss Villa.

Unfortunately villa would be well within their rights to tell him he's under contract and getting paid handsomely. villa are under no obligation to sell and if they do they can slap whatever price they like on the lad.

He obviously doesn't want to be there, so there's no benefit to the club of doing the player any sort of favour.

They are well within their right but it's not the right thing to do, and if the player gets the hump they lose all negotiation power.

He's not gonna play, I would be knocking on the managers door and saying why aren't you trying to sell me.

All Villa are doing with their valuation is stunting the lads career and (the longer he goes without playing football) is reducing his real value.

Get his price to a more realistic level so the lad can get on with his career. If I was him, I'd put in a transfer request.

He hasn't got a future there it seems. No Championship side (apart from maybe a parachute payment team can afford to but him). Realistically, he's worth £8-9m. £15m is absurd. He's only worth what someone is willing to pay. If Villa wait another Summer before selling him, chances are he's likely to be worth less not more (especially as then he'll only have a year left on his contract). The benefit of selling him now is they're likely to get as much as they're likely to.

We or anyone else in the PL isn't going to pay 15m on a cover striker when we now have a left footed striker in a similar mould but with more top flight experience.

Nor is a championship side (unless they have parachute payments like Norwich) going to pay that for him. And his goal return wouldn't be enough to say, replace Pukki.

Villa will be stuck with him unless they lower their valuation as a player is only going to be worth what another club will pay. And he's not in their team so not much benefit to them at the moment.

Exactly chaps.

It was so obvious what would happen when they put the price tag on him. But I also see his price going down and him coming late in the window. All the power is in our hands now because we have strikers to play for the first month of the season.

And as you say, no Championship club can afford him or will pay close to what they want. £5-8m is the sweet spot, we don't seem to be keen getting ripped off in other areas, don't think we will start with this one. If the price isn't realistic he simply won't come.

I think so too. Fully expect Villa's asking price to come down and too see him at Forest in August.

I don't expect to see him here, I fully expect we'll go for someone else now. There literally been no interest in any of the loans from last season, and I don't suspect that will change.

We wanted Spence. And I believe the reason we know Villa want 15m for Davis is because we asked "how much?" Garner is a waiting game. We didn't want Zinck and Lowe. Which is an understandable decision really when set against the backdrop of the PL.

Gerrard announced the fee to the press for KD, Garner is an awkward one I can see us wanting him back. KD just hasn't proves himself at this level (having played at It) so I honestly think we'd rather go abroad and get some much cheaper than spend 10m on essentially 3rd/4th choice striker.

A loan to champ club is not doing him any favours. He’s evidenced he is at least championship standard-there’s no doubt after his performances for us. It’s whether he can perform in prem-but villa must think he can as they have put a £15 mill price tag on him-that’s not price for champ player!

I agree on the subject of Davis, a free agent (or a cheap punt) would be better/saner as 3rd choice striker.

The more I've thought about it, the more I desperately want us to sign this lad. We don't know how well Taiwo will do.

He was just such a good fit for us and could be invaluable when we can bring him off the bench in tight games.

£15m is daft. But I'd hope we could meet in the middle somewhere.

I agree. The things I liked about him would translate so well to the league above.

Unbelievable strength as a focus man. Utterly brilliant feet to get out of tricky spots. Works his bollocks off. Quick, intelligent, can finish (but needs work). Knits the play together. Just love the idea of him in the Prem.

I think 90% of us agree, but its all down to those bellends at Villa. They've got to blink.

The answer to the riddle is a good old compromise: we pay £5m up front and £1m per goal up to 10 goals.
Football and finance are both simple games 😇

why would they ?
Because otherwise they are stuck with an unhappy player they are not going to use.
As we know better than most this doesn’t get you anywhere. They are making the lad bomb squad for no other reason than they are valuing him unrealistically…
