Watching the Luton game on Saturday and you could see the difference between Prem players and Championship players as JWP looked a yard faster than he normally does.
At one point Yatesy allowed the ball to drop through his legs and turn on a sixpence selling a couple around him. You don't see that too often from him at the level above - more time/space to think in.

Yeah, I mean he’s only got about 400 PL appearances behind him

Thanks for the memories James; I'll be round in a minute to give you a piggy back home... I'll walk sideways for old times sakes...

No hard feelings against him, he’s been a model pro. We just have more energetic, combative midfielders available who can also play a bit. He’d be behind dom, Yates, Danilo, Sangare, Anderson and even MGW now in that position.

If West Ham are actually cancelling the loan themselves what a result, I assumed we’d have to pay a fair bit to send him back.

Wonder if we are making space for someone, given that we'd have to have agreed to this loans cancellation...
Won't hurt, but suspect we are doing right by him as a player as well as saving cash on someone who isn't needed.

Be great if we end up with Luiz, who think is the most likely 'name' we've been linked to mind...

Perhaps. Leaves us with 2 spots in the 25 man squad free though, plus another domestic loan spot...

Luiz would have to be with an option or obligation to buy, as that's why he didn't go to City. Not that we'd mind that!

Don’t think it’s any surprise that Elanga and Anderson immediately improved on dead balls when JWP came in. Huge shame we couldn’t use him more but he covered a gap when we lost Sangare and Danilo.

Wish him all the best!

Good player, seems a good guy and seemed illogical for West Ham to not have him available whilst he doesn't even make the bench for us.

Covered us in a time of need, good professional and no ill will but it makes sense all round and maybe gives us some wiggle room for something today.

Pretty much my thoughts. Think he was a good influence off the pitch too.

Can't remember exactly but was his signing after Sangare got injured as well as Danilo? The latter especially was expected to be out for the season pretty much when the injury first happened.

Was a bit unlucky not to get more game time in any case - but he did his bit. Good luck to him.
