So do we think we were after both Kabore and Neco? Surely not at this price. And if not was Kabore our #1 RB target based on that offer?

We appeared to be when Kabore was worth £8M, I wouldn't be surprised if we have moved on now.

Thats the Citeh model all over: sign up the best youngsters they can get, develop them a bit, then sell them for an eye-watering sum when they can’t get anywhere near the first-team squad.

Could've been a case of trying to get both and once we got Neco at £16/17m and not Kabore we went for Neco. Having said that Kabore is more in the Spence mold, as is Richards, so perhaps once we knew we couldn't get Kabore we went for Richards as the ball carrying Spence like wingback and Neco as the more technical crosser type. Essentially swapping wings from the original plan?

Yeah I mean it makes sense that we bid for multiples guys at once anyway given the volume we needed to get in as quickly as we do. I am glad we ended up with Williams though. This lad seems talented but raw.

Fantastic model for the club and the player. The City and Liverpool, and to some extent Chelsea and Arsenal pipelines are some of the best available pathways in the game.

I refuse to join the herd of independent minds.

I'm just starting out on the road to a football career. Bournemouth and City are in for me. Do I go to B'mouth with a 2% chance of the first team, inferior facilities and coaching, the chance to learn from Solanke and maybe a shot at L2 if it doesn't work out. Or, do I choose City with a 1% chance, WC facilities, learning from Haaland and a shot at a decent transfer to a middling EPL team or Championship side?

It's all about mid-table...
I would have thought you'll end up where your ability says, no matter where you start?

Can you elaborate on why it is them two clubs who've gave you a chance mate? What about the other 90 clubs? Genuinely interested.

How does it all work these days?

Haven't got time for a full response but it's about far more than natural ability. Mentality, attitude and aptitude are also very important.

Also just being in the right place at the right time.

Surely a lot more chance of breaking into the Bournemouth first team set up than 2%.

This lad hasn’t played for City at all has he?!

Gone to Marseilles on loan with a 20m euro buy option & also a buy back clause for City

Can see why we moved elsewhere

Buy back clause's need to go. Just another way for the top 4 to minimise risk. You sell em or loan em.
I don't mind if they sell at a fair price. They could be considered permanent loans which is good for all parties.

But 20m with a buy back as well is a bit of a mickey take.
