Incident Involving Billy Sharp

Is it possible for us to put something on the Sheffield United website where we show how appalled we are for the actions of this moron and we all hope that Billy is ok.

There were plenty of decent fans on the pitch, celebrating, and this fat prick - as well as assaulting an ex-Forest player who has no beef with the club - brings shame on NFFC and probably ruins it for the rest of us who enjoyed treading the hallowed turf of the City Ground. What a bellend. It takes the shine off the win and hands a reason to Sheff Utd to be sanctimonious, justifying their own poor behaviour.

I am not being funny but if you rile up a fan base all pre-game, and all game (lots of shushing, telling us to sit down, the acts of their manager etc) then you are gonna get the idiots responding to it.

I am not defending the Sharp stuff, that is insane but Robinson was always gonna get stick for what he said & how he acts himself. It was just handbags outside the ground, said something to Robinson and Robinson pretended he was hard squaring up to him between a security detail.

Sheff Utd were a disgrace in how they conducted themselves in the last 48 hours.

The Robinson one was handbags and both of them are grown men and should have acted better but they didnt cross any red lines but the Sharp incident was a whole new stratosphere.

Chuck him out and let him sit on the bus then. That has happened before in local football and I remember Steve evans getting thrown out of blundell park once for his antics.
Ha yes, I hadn't thought of that! I think i remember that but I'm sure there was an issue in him initially being sent to the stand with home fans and getting so much abuse that he then went and sat in the dressing room rather than being ejected but for some reason I've got an image of his bright red face sat alone on the team coach.

Apart from it being an absolute disgrace, how dangerous is it when the victim’s not expecting the blow. It could have been so much worse.

Hope Billy Sharp is ok. Always comes across as a decent chap.

Absolutely

Sharpe would probably beat seven shades out of him under normal circumstances, so a cowardly ambush was necessary.

And takes us a step closer to pitch invasions not being tolerated.

Very idiotic

Spot on for me, Billy Sharp was a surprise, but if Id had the chance to line Robinson up I might have took it myself. Blades were on the wind up all night & football stands are full of "questionnable characters".

The whole thing was inevitable & one day someone will take it a step further. f*** knows how, but you have to stop fans getting on the pitch.

Charities are another in the list of scams aiming at taking money off working people to give to rich people.
I've fired off an email to the club and will follow with a call later, it may be that Billy wants it to go to a community trust or grassroots cause, I shall be guided by what I get in reply.

Not all charities have ridiculous pay structures, however, and I don't support some of the bigger ones who do, precisely because they do.

Not for me I had a good 30 seconds talking to one of our players on the pitch, fantastic but on a wider point the antics of this guy strengthen the hand of those pushing through the middle class media more authoritarian measures against football fans. The end game of that is killing the atmosphere, which was again utterly fantastic again last night. Of course the lunatic last night should be banned and that is inevitable but going back to banning and harassing people just by association isn't what we should go back to. Real trouble and violence barely exists at the City Ground. Notts Police do a great job in my opinion the actions of one lunatic, or a few from Leicester who sneaked into town shouldn't be over egged.

31 years old. I hope your time away gives you time to reflect on your life choices. It’s not too late , you might make something if your life instead of being a massive twat.

Right. Firstly, I'm not going to let this "ruin" what happened. One fan was a moron, but that's all it was, one. We just scraped through to a play-off final on f***ing penalties, that's the story.

Secondly, hope Sharp is OK. Genuinely a good, humble bloke and a decent footballer to boot. Didn't deserve what happened to him at all.

Where's me hammer?
It's why no f***er should go on the pitch all for a f***ing selfie

Zoe just let me know what the situation is and I will drop the charity a tenner. I just feel awful and want Sharp to know we are not all nobheads.

I've edited the link to reflect it will go to a charity he nominates, never thought to check tbh, believed it still to be active as I found a text donation method but little else. 2 hrs sleep and no coffee cos the milk at work has turned dulling my brain a bit today!

You do what you feel is right. I think though people in general are rather misguided regarding giving their hard earned to charities, particularly those who do what I never would, be taxed through PAYE. You are skanked to begin with and then toss more of your money to the elites.

30,000 fans in the ground and one idiot. Absolutely disgusting what he did to Billy but it shouldn't take the gloss off a fantastic night at the City Ground.

By the time we go to Wembley he'll have been dealt with and hopefully the focus will be back on the football, as it should be. There are idiots everywhere you go unfortunately.

To suggest fans shouldn't be on the pitch, I agree and my son and I stood at out seats watching what was going on, but how can it be stopped? Fencing was the answer years ago and there's no going back to that, so what is the alternative?

So as long as the right player gets punched it's alright then? Really?

The monumental prick who took the cowardly blindsiding of Sharp, please be under no illusion that you are a massive **** for that. Billy is actually fantastic human being and is right up there with players that freely give up their own time to engage with community and assist.

Secondly, Heckingbottom should be charged for the incident on Spence. I would have lifted him over the hoardings for that and Spence handled it brilliantly . I'll let hecky know tomorrow when I see the mardy prick fetching his newspaper. He's supposed to lead the players behaviour standards by example but he too acted a ****

Sent from my AGS3-W09 using Tapatalk

Its annoying to read it described as an "altercation between Heckingbottom and Spence" like Spence was an equal party to it. Technically it should be "assault on Spence by Heckingbottom"

He epitomises the worst in football management - whiny whingeing, cowardly, wind up merchant. Robinson is a **** too.

This is why you shouldn't go on the pitch... it gives idiots the opportunity to act like cowards.

Can't stand Sheffield United but Billy is one of the good guys, totally uncalled for. Shouldn't be hard to find in that fake yellow shirt.

This is so right.
After our match at Bournemouth I wrote of the danger to players and officials.

It’s a curse, it’s unlawful and it spoils it for everyone.

The Club has given us all renewed hope -

Yet we ignore the Chairman’s request not to go on the pitch.

I applaud the Club for its quick Official Statement.

but

the club will face consequences

No-one least of all Billy Sharp deserves this

It’s put a real damper on the teams achievement

Even when fans are on pitch they are requested at least not to slide and do damage. Cue a breakout of morons sliding on pitch.

We commented on that..absolute idiots.

Spence's Mum up on shoulders being serenaded by Forest fans was quite a sight to behold though, she was loving every second
