Just like in politics people like heckingbottom have a certain responsibility. But his sheff utd DNA saw him punching djed with a ball in the stomach, glaring at a-block and trying to get a rise with his bollcks comments from the first leg. Same with Robinson. I'll let hecky know tomorrow when I see the mardy prick fetching his newspaper. He's supposed to lead the players behaviour standards by example but he too acted a ****

Heckingbottom took a significant step down in my estimation with his cave man psychology techniques before the game and the issue with Djed was simply a disgrace-he should be cited for that and banned for a significant period. Managers physically assaulting players (and that's what it was) cannot be allowed to occur and the ref (who clearly saw the incident) bottled it.
He also has responsibility as manager to set a standard and not wind up the (by and large thick) young men under his charge beyond a certain point and he failed there too. It was lucky the game didn't boil over because at times it felt like it could have kicked off...
But none of that excuses the Billy Sharp issue, the good news is its assault so not only is the fan going to get a life ban but they will get a criminal record too.

Absolute and complete moron, Billy Sharp was a great player for us which makes it more absurd, although in fairness it would still be abhorrent if it was Jack Robinson or Heckingbottom on the receiving end.
I wish we were just able to celebrate a performance by Samba that was out of this world without having to deal with this crap, I hope the offender gets the highest level of punishment available.

I think the ref made a sensible decision in fairness, if they were at home he would have been sent to the stands but I think it would have gone absolutely nuts if he's been sent into the Peter Taylor stand.
I completely agree though that his "leadership" screwed him over because his players were emboldened to act in a similar thuggish manner.
I can't believe I'm about to say this but I genuinely think that Keith Stroud would have sent Jack Robinson off at least 3 times I that match and would have given Heckingbottom a red too.

Agree Notcher. There’s another element to this and that’s that if heckingbottom had done that to most other players (imagine psycho!) he would have got hit. I know I would have sone that. And then of course the attention turns to the player who then gets sent off. So it’s not just a rush of blood to the head his actions were designed to provojj kk e and change the course of the game. For that he is an utter first rate twat and should be banned.

This news has taken the shine off of what should have been a great day. The game finished at 04-45 local time, so I went to bed after Forest TV shut down looking forward to reading the after match comments.
I hope Billy Sharp is ok as he did his best for us on loan, during a very dark period in his life. Thank god the lowlife who did this wasn't carrying a weapon, and i hope the full weight of the law is used when he is caught.

The guy that apparently head butted Billy sharp has been arrested, heckingbottom comments though especially after the spence throw in incident, he didn't really do anything to calm down the atmosphere infact made it worse. You reap what you sow, he helped create that toxic atmosphere

The incident absolutely took the shine off of Forest‘s biggest match for maybe two decades.
The headlines this morning aren’t about Forest getting to the Final, no, they’re about some absolute arsehole head butting Billy Sharp, who is one of football’s good guys.
The club has said a lifetime ban, and I hope also the Police see to it that he gets a custodial sentence.
That is no excuse. Heckinbottom is a tool, everyone knows that, but that is absolutely no way relevant to some idiot invading the pitch and attacking Billy Sharp.
This sort of crap is why the club asked people to keep off the pitch at the end.

Not condoning it, was a disgraceful incident and I think it will be met with very harsh repercussions. The creation of the toxic atmosphere yesterday was all onsided, the fouling, the pre match comments from Robinson, the spence incident. Yes the pitch would have been invaded anyway, this sharp incident aside the invasion looked very confrontational rather people just celebrating and that's down to the atmosphere

Sorry Razor, I know I’ll get crap for saying this, but your comment is pathetic. By saying this you are effectively saying it’s ok to act like an utter cock because a footballer annoyed you. What happens on the pitch, short of out an out criminal behaviour, does not justify ‘fans’ putting their hands on players. Never, ever. Whether it’s that utter waste of flesh hitting Sharp or others having a go at Utd players. When our lads wind up the opposition we laugh, I wouldn’t accept a opposition supporter hitting our players. Nothing justifies that. It’s just indicative of low breeding and complete f***ing stupidity. I AM ashamed, these incidents HAVE significantly detracted from a night we all should have been proud of. Don’t justify any of it, not even slightly.
