Yes that was me mate. At least the marketing guy came out to front some of it and as you say he seemed genuinely disheartened. The rest of the management were a disgrace, I can't believe they allowed that to happen to children

They may have, I doubt it, but I'd left by that point. Probably 250 people still in the queue, if each signature was 5s long (25s between the 5 of them), that would still take them nearly 2 hours. It was doomed to fail

Was also interesting to me that the story below that on the OS is the appointment of Simon Forster who amongst other experiences was a Customer Director at Selfridges.

Presume his response when customers sometimes baulked at the lack of Gucci sunglasses wasn't to tell em that nobody could have foreseen them turning up, especially on a sunny day and anyway if they'd had their card ready to pay and got there before opening time then they'd probably have been able to spend hundreds of pounds rather than whinging about the lack of stock and spending nothing.

I toyed with the idea of driving over today for this. This sort of thing makes kids days and is so important. Having read through this last couple of pages I’m so glad my daughter had something on this afternoon.

I remade a kid the junior reds days where they opened the car park in the summer and had all the players in the car park at tables.

How hard would it be to get ten of them down today, put it in a bigger venue and just keep it going until the crowd died down?

A lot gets said about Fawaz, but I tell ya, on his Fawaz Open Day, I stood in line and got to meet him, Emad and John McGovern. Had my photo taken with Fawaz, John and the European Cup in the board room. Thought he was a really nice bloke. Two days later he sacked Billy Davies. There was no unmanageable line that day. :ROFLMAO:

I remember in Paul Hart's playoff season, the club basically had an open day and they basically opened the stadium for Forest fans. You had basically the entire squad in different rooms and everyone went through and got stuff signed or had a picture.

As for this, doesn't surprise me to be honest. Probably whoever organised it has no real idea about the supporters and it's evident in a lot of what they do. All fine and dandy doing it for season ticket holders and MyForest Members, there's only probably about 30 thousand of us eligible! :ROFLMAO:

Wouldn't surprise me if this was a public relations ploy with the renewals coming up in a few weeks. Happy for those that went down and got stuff signed, commiserations for those that were left outside in the cold. Debated going myself but couldn't be arsed with what was obviously going to be a massive line. Anyone with a brain knew that would happen.

Nothing new here. The membership scheme was ill thought out and then rolled into this season with no changes and more members. Price hikes excessively large...

The club didn't and still doesn't realise the atmosphere which was good for a free points last season is directly impacted by all this. It might be the difference against relegation and not.

Warned about that in August. Wonder what the 'that's the price to pay being an ambitious PL side' responses think now...

For me the biggest disappointment that they make a PR disaster out of a PR exercise is that it’s no surprise.

When they did their planning, how many did they think they could get through the shop for 5 lots of photos and 5 autographs in two hours, and how many did they think would show up?

120 minutes is 7,200 seconds. So even if they did it with military precision (good luck with that) and there was just 30 seconds (no chance) between visitors then that allows just 240 groups in.

Bunch of fukcing idiots.

After yesterday's fiasco which was members only and several thousand turned up it stands to reason that there could be even more today. So despite it being a shitshow yesterday no lesson has been learned where the easiest thing in the world would have been to pre warn and say only that the first 250 will be allowed entry

Firstly, thank you for your very message. This sort of feedback is important for us to continue improving. Following the meeting yesterday, there was a team of us that got together to ensure this doesn’t happen again in future events. We’ve also made some process changes to today’s session to make it a better fan experience for everyone.



As I mentioned yesterday, I’m deeply sorry for your personal experience and it’s awful to read how you feel about the club. The MyForest initiative is all about bringing fans closer to the club, but for a lot of fans yesterday this didn’t achieve that goal and that’s something we need to change.
