Does anyone know anything about away memberships next season

We had one last season, will we be able to renew? Is it just a lottery?

Apparently they'll be contacting you soon. It was mentioned yesterday when they confirmed they were relocating ST holders because of the need to increase our allocation for away fans.

I'm actually quite annoyed they're apparently offering more away memberships which will then limit the chances of current away members getting away tickets throughout the season! Seems unfair really for those that had one this season (that's me and yes I did go to around 10 away games last season). People think we'll be given bigger allocations for away games now we're in the PL - we won't!

Believe that we'll get a minimum of 3000 per game - or 10% which will mean that in most instances it will be a larger allocation than last year.

Bigger allocations than EFL - with a few exceptions.
And you’ll carry your loyalty points forward from last season.

I agree-I’m annoyed as well.
For me,the away membership should be capped at the current 2,500 to reward the supporters who have
been members when we were awful and away tickets were plentiful.
I feel the first 2,500 away tickets should be allocated to away members who wish to travel-any leftovers
should be offered to season card holders according to games attended.
I have been an away member since they were introduced nearly 20 years ago(I go to around 8 away games
these days as I’m getting a bit old to travel away every time!).
I don’t see why long standing away members should be disadvantaged by glory seekers,day trippers and
Johnny-come-latelies who won’t be anywhere to be seen near an away ground should normal service be
resumed.

Is it just me that thinks the whole idea of the away membership is unfair? Why should someone with away membership who's been to say 5 away games get priority over someone who doesn't have away membership but has been to 10 games? I'm all for the idea of giving priority depending on how many away games someone has previously been to but with the away membership scheme you're effectively given the opportunity to pay to jump the queue. Or am I missing something?

Good point. Just shows how difficult it is to try to be fair to all when tickets are like gold dust.

I suppose we could try the ticketing system used at pop concerts or Glastonbury which I'm told, is first come first served. No matter how many times you have been before.

For me, Away scheme is fine as it is - as long as they cap the number of memberships at 3000 - that way all away members will be guarenteed a ticket for all away games, provided they purchase during the appropiate window. How much will this membership be to gain access to Anfield and Old Trafford rather than Oakwell and Ewood Park?

Issues last season surfaced when ticket allocation was less than active memberships. The override of loyalty point filters levels underestimated demand coupled with purchase windows opened without due warning created an unfair bunfight - for example Luton - and many regular away attenders missed out.

So my view - leave the scheme as is - cap at 3000.

However, the club has said that current away members are soon to be contacted to explain "options" .
That to me sounds like there will be different schemes offered.
Potentially a return to guarenteed ticket in advance - 19 games x £30 = £570 upfront on top of the season ticket?
Significant outlay in these tough economic times. Speculation, yes - but what else could these "options" be?

Jump the queue? I never saw a queue forming when we were utter dogshit-it’s just that now we have hit a
decent run of form that interest has rocketed(there was previously little point of buying an away membership unless you were desperate to watch the ‘El Crapico’ at Pride Park).
I think the club should support long term away members(who supported the club in the bad days)-even
if they now attend less away games than the ‘we are Premier League’ brigade.

Guess being in the Premier League and visiting Liverpool and Man City is more appealing than going to Rotherham away or Hull away but we
have always had great support home and away despite how poor we have been over the past 20 years.

Up until this season other than Derby away I have pretty much never had an issue getting away tickets over the past 25 years and have never had
to have an away membership.

I remember winning 7-3 at Leeds in 2012 and the stewards joking we could sit where we liked due to the fact we did not even have a 1000 there. In fairness Leeds only had 22k if that their and now they are in the Premier League they sell out and its very hard to get tickets from speaking to friends who support them. Where were the 2500 away members on the waiting list then ? Maybe not fancy watching us scrap away from the bottom of the Championship not quite as fun as Chelsea away maybe?

This is just a result of us getting promoted and having a great year this year the demand would disappear again if we go back to being a below average championship team again hopefully that never happens so am happy to miss out on away games if it means we stay being good!!!

I am lucky as I have been to places like Goodison already and saw us win 1-0 Van Hooijdonk scored from memory back in 1999 but will not likely get to many away games this season as tickets will not be available. Thankfully I have some contacts via work at Leeds/Arsenal and Chelsea so will likely get to those away games at least. Was not a season ticket holder either when I went to Goodison but had no issue getting a ticket at all maybe because we were on out way down that year?

I just happy we are back where I feel we belong and was lucky to be at Wembley to see us get promoted. I would happily attend zero games if
someone guaranteed me right now we would stay up this year.

2.Access to obscure League 1 or 2 grounds with restricted capacity(I like to visit new venues).
3.A guarantee (again,cough) that I could access away tickets if we ever showed any sign of life again.
I’ve paid around £540(18x£30) for away memberships over the years-obviously that was my own choice
but I think the club should reward those supporters who have stuck with it during the lean times.
I would point out that I have been to a fair number of away games over that period-I hope
the club will consider long term away members in the likely mad scramble for away tickets.

I have an away membership, I would be a bit pissed off if after years of slumming it going to the likes of Rotherham and Oldham away I couldn’t get tickets this season.

Hull will always be one of the funniest places to go on an away, it’s still 1985 in Yorkshire.

I think I've had 10, split into 2 seperate stints.

Ironically I've never been that bothered about the big away cup games, especially as they have to give 25% to us so getting a ticket was always fairly easy.

I do think they should cap it as is though, if we go down we need to be able to allow everyone to renew.

Away membership was essential if you have kids because even if you are on row 2 or 3 some twat on row 1 stands up

Ironically that was a huge complaint of the away membership scheme, as they bought tickets first you always got the shit views. Now they are much better at it.

Fully agree has to be the the craziest games away game I have ever been to what made it better was it was so unexpected given the season we

The most bizarre away game I’ve attended was the 5-5 draw at Aston Villa in 2018-I needed a calculator
to keep track of the score.
