Having read the Athletic article on Sangare, maybe Florentino is the ball-carrying CDM we're still looking for :ROFLMAO:

Possibly back in for this lad. Our new scout would know all about him.

I think players coming to England and playing in the PL for the first time need a season before they can give consistent top-quality performances.
It is nothing like the football they will have experienced.

Surely it shows a lack of faith in Sangare more than anything if we throw £20m+ at this lad.

Agreed - I am expecting a lot more from Sangare next season as well. We saw glimpses of what he can do, but he needs to step up.
I think that pre-season will be even more important this season - NES had no real opportunity to get his 'message across' last season - because of everything that went off, we were playing with a gun against our head from Xmas onwards - it doesn't matter the reasons - that was the reality.
Fresh season - time to mold the team how he wants them to play, sort the set-piece mess out, a few sensible additions to what we already have.
Bring it on!

Why do you say that?
I’m pretty sure he was linked with a move back months ago

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) has a section with the following headline: ‘The Dominguez hypothesis is back in fashion’. The Rossoneri are looking for a defensive midfielder and there could be a flashback for Nico Dominguez.

The former Bologna player is now at Nottingham Forest, but the Rossoneri management scouted him and were linked with him for many weeks and months before Argentine decided to move to the Premier League.

I'd prefer to keep Dominguez if possible. He's the best technical midfielder we've got
Surely that’s Danilo? I know he’s positionally naive at times and inconsistent, but only MGW and Murillo at the club are at his level technically I would say. His goal at Brentford got all the plaudits, but I really liked his goal v Wolves - looked a bit lucky with how it fell to him but that was a great touch and instant finish.

Agree. Danilo has incredible technical ability, he’s just very raw. I’m pleased he’s been given a load of game time. Needs to play more advanced.

I saw Dominguez linked with a move back to Italy with Milan looking at him the other month as well, And i wonder if we did get this lad in him and Sangare would work together cause it lets Luis sit and Sangare go forward more like he did for Psv and the height of them both in the center of midfield would be good as well plus Sangare would be helping defensively to

I'd still say Dominguez is the better technician. Danilo is more dynamic and adventurous which catches the eye a bit more but if I wanted someone to get hold of it and pop it around I'm taking Dominguez. That's not to say he's the better overall player on terms of what he brings though.

I've not seen Dominguez pick out a long pass like Danilo. Couple of recent examples are into CHO at Everton for the third clear penalty and into CHO again at Sheffield United when he hit the outside of the post.

I've seen Dominguez throw a few diags in but there's far more to a good a technician than being able to pick out the odd long range pass.

Of course, but you specifically said pop it around. Look, I like Dominguez and hope he stays. I think he's better out of possession than Danilo. But Danilo is technically better imo.
