Apparently this is set to be the largest attendance for an English game this season outside of Wembley

I tried to sign up, but they want so much information which I don't think is relevant that I cancelled the sign up. I might try again later when I can't find another way to view.

Text message from a life-long Manchester United fan and ST holder regarding this fixture…..

‘It’s going to be great and with all the rubbish we’ve put up with this season it feels like an opportunity to return to real football. 60,000 is more than City and Liverpool get for Champions League !

I guess you mean most tickets sold, as I can’t think of any game that would sell 60k match tickets (not including STs)

Yes, sorry I worded it incorrectly.

Does anyone have any tips on where I could park? I have to wait for kids to finish school then drive up from London so I’ll be cutting it very fine to get there for kick off. Now the attendance has shot up I’m thinking I’ll struggle to find anything close enough to ground.

When visiting an unfamiliar away ground, I look on Google maps and park in local housing areas.

But a quick scan of the area round the ground for miles around has parking only by permit only on match days. Depends if the game is classified as a match day and with that size crowd I guess it will.

So my brilliant idea is a washout, sorry.

The internet football ground guide has lots of tips.

Probably best you’ll get will be 10-20 mins walk away

Actually another thought… use the Just Park app and you can book on someone’s drive. Might cost you £15 or so but if your running late it’ll work. There’s space on Tenby Ave, 8mins away

I used this when we Played Arsenal a few years ago, managed to get parked for under £10 and wasn't too far a walk either.

Be sure to park North of the ground ( North West ideally ) if you want to avoid inevitable delays getting away.

Thanks I’ll give that a go

Park on the other side (I.e. the north side) of Salford quays. Either in Lowry outlet Car park, or for free in residential shitsville off the Langworthy Road if you can tolerate a serious hike

Streets around the Quadrant pub probably the best but a good mile from the ground. My brother lives in Stretford right behind the ground, so a lovely in and out for me.

They are still not an easy club to like.

I think its the arrogance and entitlement.

Easier to like than Liverpool or Abu Dhabi. Hope they get it together soon. A strong United stops Liverpool, when United are shit Liverpool are strong.
