• All - you probably don't need to be told, but....
Despite the Admins' best efforts some spammers/scammers/scalpers are getting through the entry system and are, astonishingly, in possession of FA Cup tickets that they, astonishingly, don't want!

It's probably a scam, and either way it's a criminal offence under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, (as amended by the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006) to offer or expose tickets for sale.

Please DO NOT engage with these people - please REPORT any threads/posts offering tickets for sale in case we've not caught them.
    Thanks!

I think it could be quite fun to change it to something like the penalty corner in hockey

Have someone kick it in from the 18 yard box line perpendicular to the by line, the ball has to leave the 18 yard box then it's a one-on-one with the goalie

Even simpler: direct free kick in the box for offences other than DOGSO, penalty for the denial of obvious goalscoring opportunity

Yup said this a few times before. Would maybe see players think twice about going down rather than trying to score/cross.

Tactical wizard - the corner that somehow went back to Pickford will be studied for decades
They had practiced it a bit earlier by doing the same with a throw in by the corner flag.

Put it in the box? That's what they'll be expecting us to do...

OBEs for Taylor and Atwell, you can see it now!
At least they get nowhere near the final if we make it. I think even if we lose they have shown how inferior they are compared with their European counterparts to not be in with a sniff. Surprised they got given a quarter final.

Perhaps lots of the other refs went home early. Ours hung on, like some do at the end of a party, difficult to get rid of them.

All the talk of dropping Kane whilst its a fair opinion is so so depressing. I blame Southgate entirely for this. How can we get to a situation where we have valid opinions that say to drop Kane. The best striker in the world and hes been complete naff.

People saying Kane shouldnt be dropping deep and I agree he shouldnt be on our 18 yard box but he has never neen a striker that runs in behind. Southgate has to get the best out these players and make it balanced and he has failed meserably.

I am not against a defensive stratagy and the style dosent bother me but we arent having enough quality chnaces or shots on target. France are not like us either because they are defensive but they are having more shots on target than us and making better chances.

Sakas goal on the weekend was our first shot on target and that in itself is abysmal. Anyway well see what happens when we play the dutch. They are in the top 10 and southgates record against top 10 sides is woeful. Due to previous stats were are UNLIKLEY to get thorugh. That is not becuase we dont have better players its because we have a manager who eternally struggles against any good sides.

What is doing my head in is the narrative that Southgate besides Ramsay is best ever manager. Besides Germany (who were poorer than) and Spain in the Nations legaue he hasnt beaten anyone of worth. What he was good at was beating less superior teams well but that has totally gone this tournament. I have Southgate on the same level as Sven and Capello. If Sven had the draws that Southgate had he would deffo have got to semi finals and finals.

To be fair France have only managed 6 more shots on target than England, France on 21 and England on 15. Both pathetic really

Also worth noting France haven't even scored a goal from open play yet. Although they also haven't conceded a goal from open play either

Its much better to have 21 shots on target and not conced a goal from open play. They are playing Southgateball but to a much higher standard. Plus when I watch France their oppurtunities to me seem a higher quality. It will be interesing to see what the xG is.

England remind of Cooper in the prem and Lamouchi. It will catch us up not creating enough good oppurtunitiues. Look if we spawn it to the trophy I wont care but I cant look at this England side objectivley and say they are good. There is nothing long term in the current approach.

When you look at the xG I know its crude but that shows really that dont have to neccesarily be attacking but have a good healthy gap between xG and xGa. However thats not reinventing anything it just backs up what everyone knows deep down which is you have to be good defensively and attacking wise. The more shots you have and less you face you are gonna win more than you dont. Its not rocket science I know 😅.

Looking at the stats and see how we play it will be a miracle if we win this tournament.

Kane is very clearly injured but Southgate won’t drop him. He’s miles off the pace of the game, his touch is heavy and he’s blowing out his arse after ten minutes every game.

Bellingham also looks absolutely shattered. Outside of the first thirty minutes of the first game and that one overhead kick he’s been woeful and easily one of our worst players.

But Southgate would get pelters if he dropped either of them.

So who'll be wearing plastic tits on the open top bus ride from Stanstead on Thursday?

My money's on no-one caring.

I was just listening to a French commentator saying Deschamps won’t drop Mbappe despite poor form and the facial injury. Similar situation with Ronaldo at Portugal, they were effectively playing with 10 men every game.
All three players have been way off the mark the whole tournament, only with Kane I’m unsure if it’s more down to tactics than an injury.
