I was just listening to a French commentator saying Deschamps won’t drop Mbappe despite poor form and the facial injury. Similar situation with Ronaldo at Portugal, they were effectively playing with 10 men every game.
All three players have been way off the mark the whole tournament, only with Kane I’m unsure if it’s more down to tactics than an injury.
Ronaldo is past it, he was at the last World Cup. Martinez was just scared and didn't have the balls to do what was needed.
Kane is struggling with a back injury, anyone who has suffered from back problems will know that this will hinder him hugely.

Then I'd have Bellingham and Mbappe together. Both could turn it on and win a game in a 10-15 minute burst. But are they both knackered? Bellingham looked shot during the Champions League semi finals when Real beat City despite him. Mbappe looks to be missing something too, maybe it's the mask, or maybe he's just tired. Neither look entirely happy in the system their teams are playing.

Ronaldo was an absolute disgrace for Portugal, just ambling around and as soon as he had a sulk because something hadn't gone his way he disappeared completely. Greatest of all time my arse. Even the original and best Ronaldo managed to bag a goal or two when he had the shape of the average forum user and did it with a grin on his face

I’m 100% sure he’s carrying an injury. He’s ambling round like a 65 year old waiting for a hip replacement.

He’s honestly been terrible in every facet of the game

Bellingham was phenomenal for 30 minutes and then since then he’s been abysmal. He’s rolling around on the floor, giving the ball away consistently and having zero impact on the game outside of that one moment of brilliance

You've obviously not seen who their next opponent is.......No Chance
You're probably right. But France could conceivably stifle Spain like they did Portugal, and then it's all for grabs.
I don't bet any more really but the Dutch at fives represents real value in my non footballing head.
I suppose the bookies took money to lure punters in and now the odds are shortening .

To be honest mate I was being sarcastic as they are playing England next(which is who I meant).

I actually saw a bit of Holland the other day and didn't think they were too bad.

England's record against Netherlands since 1988 is not great.

To be fair, I'll give Southgate his due if he manages to beat Netherlands in 90 minutes.

Heard a Dutch football journo on the radio this morning and he was quite happy with their defence, but very unhappy about the attack, saying in the past they had quite the reverse. Top strikers, but feeble defenders.

So with that set up in the opposition and England with Southgateball, we're in for a long night tomorrow.

Whilst tonight might be a goal fest or more of the same. Depends which teams turn up.

England took great penalties against Switzerland but some folk are making out like Southgate is a penalty shootout guru forgetting that we lost the final of this tournament 3 years ago with shambolic penalties, think we also lost a game in that joke nations league thing on penalties under this knob jockey

The team has been leaked apparently but there don't seem to be any Forest players or ex players around

I shall be sat watching the game with my daughter, who is also rooting for England.

Parenting, done right.

Gah. That f***ing lineup.

He’s so bloody risk-averse, it’s infuriating.

Cole Palmer still missing is nuts.

I kind of get no Shaw though. If he can give you 30-60 minutes I guess you’d rather he finishes the match than starts it.

But yeah. Square pegs, round holes and still three players fighting for the same number 10 areas of the pitch
