I don't that's beyond the realms of possibility for Liverpool away at all.

Ward-Prowse putting balls onto the head of one of our giant's will probably be one of the few joys we can actually have. Think it was Moussa Niakhate chucking throws in a few years ago that they were struggling to cope with.
Yes we had Taiwo who gave Konate the toughest game of his career to date who was occupying him and Van Dijk and pinning them while Felipe was winning the flick ons.

Something we should look to utilise again but with one of our new big bastard's at the back doing the Felipe role. Liverpool really struggled against it and their back line is virtually the same.

With MGW suspended for Fulham we really could do with EA to play the #10 role.
I missed his substitution. Was he injured or just a change in formation?

I didn’t see but comms were mentioning that he had signaled to bench that he had thigh injury. But then I’m sure when he came off he was sat on bench with kit on-surely he would have gone down tunnel to get treatment?

Hopefully just a precautionary substitution, would could do we him starting Vs Fulham with MGW suspended.

Could even get his favoured 10 role (or Jota).

Also when he came off he was running off, didn’t look injured.
Just gassed I think

Maybe his thigh was just feeling a bit and he came off so that it didn't get worse.

Elliot is only 21. He's already had I think relatively major issues with his hip and his back. It may be that he's still young enough to not have fully finished growing and/or he has but the issues he has had were related and he's still recovering fitness. It's common for players who have bad breaks to be affected by muscle injuries more when coming back, in part due to not being able to train at peak levels when injured and maybe also in part down to accommodation due to the injury and the healing process.

It may even be possible that the club may have him on a different fitness regime to what he was on at Newcastle. May be also that he isn't thought to be strong enough due to his injuries last season and his age to play 90mins yet.

Only the club really knows this.

But he is a hard working, intelligent player who puts a lot of miles in on the pitch, so maybe he might just get tired because he's doing more.

I thought he looks tired/heavy legged in the first half to be honest. Hopefully nothing to see here….

People will moan because it's Coldplay, but I think this is great.

Are these player songs getting a little bit wordy though? We're going to need to start taking songbooks 😂
I reckon I can just about remember the Nottingham's more fun with Elliot Anderson bit. Don't need the rest.

Nah, they just stick him in nets during training and practice matches, because he makes their forwards feel like Pele.
