Yes realistically speaking unlikely to happen but isn't it great that the club is looking at signing players of this calibre.

A year ago it was a pipe dream and a couple of years down the line who knows where we'll be.

It wasn't that long ago that Jed Wallace seemed like an ambitious signing!

One is a lazy overrated player with shocking dress sense and the other is a headless chicken type speed demon.

If we sign ASM then one can only hope the first time he gets his head up is to listen to Mr Cooper.

£45m for Gordon who's a bit neat but hardly shown anything beyond being a squad player for a side battling relegation is mad, let alone the £60m they wanted.

Apply the same logic to our squad and you're talking £50m for Johnson, £75m for MGW etc. It's just nuts.

Was thinking this. I’ve not kept an eye on him personally but not seen him drawing much individual praise this season or having good stats so, as you’ve said, apply the logic to our squad and the ££ spent on MGW looks like a bargain.

Let’s hope they can’t spend their money on anyone good.
