Only if we've got a new stiker and possibly an extra centre back. Not to mention shifting Turner.

I wouldn't say no, but Ramsdale would be a luxury signing.

Plus if Wolves have been “priced out” what are they asking for?

Are Wolves particularly skint?

Free run at him on deadline day?

If it's left until deadline day, then there's a chance he may not be available at all.

Arsenal don't currently have any senior keepers other than Raya and Ramsdale, so you'd imagine that letting Ramsdale would be dependent on being able to bring in a replacement second choice keeper - and a deadline day bid may be too late for that.

Indeed.

He'd probably be an upgrade on Sels - but enough of an upgrade to justify the huge cost involved in bringing him in? His wages would likely be insane too. He'd literally just signed a bumper new deal before Arsenal decided to piss in his chips and bring in someone better - so even if he is surplus to requirements, they're not going to let him go cheap.

They already have a replacement lined up for Ramsdale

There are two positions where I think a club should be willing to spend big to get the best possible player. Goalkeeper and striker. It's not often a club at our level has a chance of signing a keeper that was good enough for a top 6 club two seasons ago and in the England setup. Sels is decent, but I think this would be a massive upgrade.

Sure. But the point is that if it's left late enough, they may not have time to get the replacement through the door.
Arsenal got the replacement agreed personal terms, All they got to do is agree a fee which is close, Also Arsenal have said they want to get rid of Ramsdale but they want a guaranteed obligation to buy on a loan deal which will probably put Southampton out of it with them one of favourites to go down

Sure, it's been reported for a while now that they want and are confident of getting Garcia.

But the fact remains that as of now they've not closed a deal for him. Given how short it'd leave them, it's safe to say that they won't sanction Ramsdale leaving until they have their man. Hence leaving it to deadline day carrying an element of risk - they could easily find something they don't like on the Garcia medical for example and pull the plug on both moves.

Bizarre decision to go to Southampton where his deficiencies with his feet will be massively highlighted

I would imagine that he wouldn't want to go to Soton - if he has any alternative.
He has already been relegated from EPL with Bournemouth & Sheff Utd.
