Summer 24 Transfer Window

Players like Dennis/O'brien/Toffolo could be used a make weights for any promising championship players they want to take punts on.

A CF, a CB and a midfielder to offer control if Sangare still isn't looking like the solution near the end of the window.

Unpopular opinion probably, but (along with Brereton) another old boy I'd look at in he summer is Lascelles - goes into the final year of his contract, and, while probably not quite as good as Boly, would add similar experience and leadership while adding mobility. Wonder how much it would take...
Lascelles has just done an ACL I think and will be out for a while, with intangible impact on mobility...

If we are forced to sell Morgan, surely Smith-Rowe is worth a go. Unused sub for 12 of the last 15 for Arsenal, he’ll surely want an opportunity at this stage.
Smith-Rowe looks like a proper thoroughbred IF he can stay injury free, that's been his problem at Arsenal.... Arsenal might well decide he's not reliable enough and could be a wasted squad place as they look to strengthen next season but the injuries are gonna worry anyone looking to sign him.

Of course if we can do with him what we have with CHO then get the cheque book out!!!

Bertolucci Sports - Agency that Danilo is with and their client list has a number of players we’ve been linked with along the way.

recently, been linked with this Alvaro Valles.

his playing analysis is interesting , sounds like the type of keeper we would want. Sels is average but considering his price, has done well.

He'd actually be a good signing in isolation. We are crying out for a big CB who can kick and head everything and Maguire repeatedly shows for England he's excellent at that role.

Problem is his wages. If we could bring him in on 60-80k per week, I'd bite. But there's no chance of that.
I said something similar last year. Ain't going to happen, but if we could we'd be daft not to (though would still require a mask).

I'd have him here any day of the week, a seasoned no nonsense CB that's got plenty of experience in this league and can play both sides. Unfortunately like you say his wages would make it almost impossible, although at 31 he'll surely be aware that any more 200k p/w contracts are unlikely

Sels average ?

Was thinking Maguire would be perfect for us, assuming he played alongside Omabamidele, but would likely be too expensive in terms of wages. The move to Everton makes sense (though, perhaps, less so for Branthwaite!). Maybe Leicester will fancy tweaking the noses of PSR once more with a cheeky bid?

He signed a 6 year deal in 2019 and is currently on £200k a week. Absolutely no chance of it happening.

I'd be keeping an eye on Tyrone Mings personally.

Still recovering from an ACL injury and so it's a risk, but I suspect Villa will look to replace him properly in summer given Champions League football and not wanting to FAFO on a 31 year old who's been out for a long time.

If he can demonstrate an ability to keep fit then could be a reasonably cheap replacement for Murillo if we choose to cash in what with it being a left footed option. Would held in our quest not to be shit from set pieces and would also be a big leader presence in dressing room, something I personally feel we're missing.

Spot on about the leaders Maxi, experienced leaders being the main hole we need to fill. I've said for a while now probably need to bring 3 of those in if possible. I like the idea of Mings too if we can be confident (as much as we can) about that knee injury.
