I think we're lumbered with him.

We need to sell him for £24m+ to break even on FFP terms and that's assuming Marinakis is happy to crystallise a cash loss.

I don't see any other club paying that figure for a player who can't get in the team of a pretty piss poor side who are relegated battlers.

Regrettable as I think it suits both Forest and Sangare if we could part ways.

I think he'll stay too, and the hope has to be that we get him properly fit and ready to play a part. Easy to forget of late, but there is a player in there. Just hoping we get to see it 'cos it's all we have...

You just can't expect a player to slot in to a new team, bizarre though it may seem to us you have to give players time to acclimatise to the speed of the game, the changing tactic and the players around you - look at the likes of Havertz its taken him time to settle and now he's top class. Danilo is looking more the part now and its taken him a season or so to get the consistency required. I think Sangare will stay and look a different player next season.

I think he will stay, merely because Forest won’t want to make a massive loss on him (and they would, unless they can find some other mug to buy him, but you never know).

He has just never looked the part, for me. Like he doesn’t want to be there.

Do we have to sell prize assets?
If we do have a PSR issue then Everton’s 2 point deduction (a precedent) is unlikely to be the issue that relegates us if we are relegated.
I reckon we should keep our talent and tell the EPL to do one.
Suppose the hope is that we already have done in BJ and Mangala, and the remaining funds can be raised selling fringe types like Worrall and O'Brien, and/or playing the kind of financial tricks everyone else seems to have.

If the basis of the appeal was bringing the BJ money back into last year's FFP, could we use it again to balance the books this year?

On the Sangare front, I don't think he's been anywhere near as bad as some say.

CMs struggle in our system at the best of time as they get pulled all over the shop defensively and when they get the ball it's normally deep and with little on.

But throw in the fact he joined late in the window, had a few knocks, went to AFCON and the whole team has been shite all year and it's understandable he didn't get up to speed.

I hope we keep him, as he's the type of player who could make a real difference to our play next year.

Since we were charged it's already in this year's, but according to those who've read the report the problem runs deeper than that 50m plus the 8m from the Mangala loan (by something like 13m iirc).

Maybe the outcome of the appeal plays a part - if they accept we should have been able to declare a greater amount of COVID losses, the promotion bonuses or whatever then maybe we are fine again? (Complete guesswork on my part - I've no idea if that's possible or just that they are able to accept the mitigation)

He'll need to, and criticism wise its as simple as him being the most expensive midfielder we have having the least impact. Add to that injuries, losing his spot at AFCON, looking off the pace as much as he's looked on it... hasn't worked out at all this year. Hopefully next...

Sangare will come good next season.
He will do a Chris Wood, Tavares, Neco, Yates - FFS even Big T got shit in his first few games

The above players and countless others have been given shit and not given enough time

Central midfield in the EPL is the most challenging position to play, I hope he can adapt but he's shown little to nothing that indicates he's mentally or physically prepared for the pace and chaos of the PL. It's not somewhere you can really afford to carry someone either, especially not in a 2 man midfield

I think it's as much about confidence, mental fortitude, fitness and injury as time in Sangare's case. I hope...

If safety is assured, I'd start playing Sangare at every opportunity, need him to find form whether to be a player for us or to get a move. Give him the whole of pre season to get up to speed. He's not rubbish, just need to get used to the pace and rigours of the Premier league.

Tell you what, say what you will about him but a look at the Mendes client lists contracts expiring has some useful looking players available on a free...

Felix is contracted until 2029 and Atleti want €60m for him, Mendes will probably tell us we can have him for €80m if we're interested in striking a deal

Would love to see both Dennis and Sangare given chances, because if they both come good I think they're exactly what we need. Wouldnt mind Renato in there either

If we are forced to sell Morgan, surely Smith-Rowe is worth a go. Unused sub for 12 of the last 15 for Arsenal, he’ll surely want an opportunity at this stage.
