Any news on his possible injury?
Amazing how someone who plays in one of the worst defences in the league (one of which he has been a mainstay for most of the season), who also is part of a team with by far the worst amount of set pieces conceded in the league, which should be all about the defence, is still lauded as one of the best players.
I really like Murillo, and think some of his passing is incredible, but some of the love-in for him is way too much, he is very defensively naive, which he makes up for sometimes with being fast and strong, can we stop talking about him like he's one of the best defenders in the league, if he was, we'd be mid-table.

I definitely think if the big clubs are interested he’s “one to keep an eye on” rather than “here’s £50m this summer”. We’ll see. I’d love him to stay with us next year if we stay up.

Ironically his heading was probably the best I've seen from him yesterday. I agree that aerially he's been poor for much of the season though.
There is much more to Murillo than just his passing range though. He reads the game very well and always seems to be the one getting in the last ditch tackle, he covers the ground quickly, he's physical and he's tenacious. There's quite rightly a lot of buzz about him, if you helicopter him into a side that has more possession and doesn't get bombarded with high balls into the box constantly you've got a hell of a CB. He's a top 6 CB for sure.
I get that he has all these wonderful attributes. But we're in a relegation battle, and have barely kept a clean sheet all season.... and he is our main defender. If we lose to Sheffield United, I don't want to hear anyone saying how "brilliant" Murillo was because he made a cross field pass, or broke up the play once. His main job is to stop the other team scoring, and he has barely done that all season.
