I suppose back then everyone tended to play a big man little man forward line.

I used to work with his cousin and asked if he could introduce us. Alas, was told in unequivocal terms "you'll never meet Des Walker".I once offered Des the use of my French holiday cottage; he said, „You’ll never gîte Des Walker…“

One of the greatest LTLF threads though.Ring ring, ring ring.
"Hello 2013? You seem to have misplaced your LTLF meme."
I completely forgot about that thread. It must have emerged from deep in the subconscious. And I was so pleased with myself too!Ring ring, ring ring.

You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, I personally still think it was (one of) this forums‘ finest hour(s).I completely forgot about that thread. It must have emerged from deep in the subconscious. And I was so pleased with myself too!
Anyway, Murillo, yes, great player.
Thanks Strummer. Last time I felt so ashamed is when I traveled with Desmond to Bavaria and offered to buy him a Weissbier. He replied "you'll never wheat Des Walker".You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, I personally still think it was (one of) this forums‘ finest hour(s).

Not sure you'll "ever defeat Des Walker" thread.Just checking into this thread to discover that We Will Repeat Des Walker memes.
I saw Des one day, he was biking along in a pair of old adidas sambas, barely any grip and his feet kept slipping off the pedals and it was clearly a struggle.Funnily enough I saw Des walking down Maid Marion Way with four shady characters around him. I manoeuvred closer to see it was Atwell, Tierney, Jones and Taylor. Tierney ran in front of Des and Jones shoved him into him. Tierney threw himself to the ground and Taylor screamed penalty. Atwell, who'd recorded it on his phone relooked at it and shouted out "Not a fair tussle for the ball, definite penalty."
Des just stared them down and quietly said "You'll never cheat Des Walker".
I think he’s a great talent but I fear he may be sacrificed to balance the books.I love Murillo. A proper defender that throws himself in front of almost everything and gets behind the keeper when necessary to block shots.
He has a great defensive instinct in my opinion.
Hope we get to keep him next year.
I'm too confused and lazy to understand, does the Brennan sale count on the filing we just got nailed on or does it count for this upcoming one?I think he’s a great talent but I fear he may be sacrificed to balance the books.
We can never seem to keep our best players.
As far as I understand it-we need to raise around £30 million in profit before the end of June or we faceI'm too confused and lazy to understand, does the Brennan sale count on the filing we just got nailed on or does it count for this upcoming one?
This season, despite our protestations.I'm too confused and lazy to understand, does the Brennan sale count on the filing we just got nailed on or does it count for this upcoming one?
Just sell Sangare and Dennis easy...As far as I understand it-we need to raise around £30 million in profit before the end of June or we face
another possible points deduction.
Alas-I can’t see any profit on Sangare or Dennis.Just sell Sangare and Dennis easy...
It’s well worth taking the 2 point hit (as per Everton) to keep hold of him.As far as I understand it-we need to raise around £30 million in profit before the end of June or we face
