Underappreciated Forest Goals

Thread to lift spirits.

Lets talk about some of the goals we've scored in the past that don't get shown on the video screens pre-match at the WFCG or don't get brought up on here often (like the McGugan free kick or Radi volley vs WBA for example). Goals which are really really good but for whatever reason have flown under the radar somewhat.

I'll start. I loved this goal:

Stood right behind it, celebrated moment it left Bouchalakis' foot. Loved it.

I’ll go for Garath McCleary’s solo effort at the City Ground against Coventry in a relegation
battle in 2012.
The 2-0 win set us up for a late escape-coming shortly after Portsmouth entered administration.
We surprisingly also won 2-1 at Birmingham the week after with a Dexter Blackstock double.

McCleary was electric that season scored a few great goals..

Cohen v Blackpool in the playoffs is about as sweet of a hit as you will ever see, won't talk about the rest of them 2 legs...

Try and include links if you can for those who can't remember them! I certainly couldn't remember the McCleary one!

Edit: A Robbie Findley goal in that game, how about that.

Has he singed yet?
The McGuigan Ipswich goal gets mentioned often, and is appreciated, but it remains one of the best goals I have ever seen in real life. I was right behind the goal in the Bridgford End and still unsure all these years later how it bended its way into the net!

Andy Reid vs West Ham in the cup, about 2002.

Marlon King vs West Ham too ironically.

Majewski vs Derby

Collymore away at Sunderland and also away at West Brom.

Who was that nutcase right back we had under Montanier? He scored a great goal at the Trent End.

Lolley went through a purple patch too where everything he hit flew in.

Our 2nd goal in the 89 league Cup final vs Luton will always be one of my favorites and I never see it mentioned much (apart from by me im always banging on about it) that cross field ball to Webb was perfect

Tommy Gaynor's pass is a thing of beauty (about 2:35 on the video), his pass to Clough for the 3rd is pretty decent too.

I'll never forget that bit of commentary Neil Webb is further forward than any of them here's Webb

Yes-the team that turned up for the tragic game at Hillsborough in 1989 contained 5 international standard players-Pearce,Walker,Hodge,Webb and Clough.
In many ways that side played a style of football which was as pleasing as our great Championship winning side of 77/78-but the glory side of the late 70’s has to be our greatest
ever because it had a mean streak running through it.
Two great Clough teams.

Forest Everton, Simod Cup Final 1989 - Garry Parker.

This was the best goal ever scored at old Wembley.

Trap ball in 6 yard box from opposition corner, pass to Clough, one touch to Parker.....

Start at about 3 mins 20. Enjoy!

How the fluff did Billy get this out of Matt Derbyshite?

What I particularly liked about that goal was the fact that only minutes before Leeds had scored an equaliser which came out of the blue after we were playing well. The crowd were disgruntled and feeling it was typical Forest and Derbyshire then does that.

I think he also did Leeds at Elland Road, scoring two, in the reverse fixture.

Eric Lihaj’s first of two in that cup game against Arsenal. A header from a Kieran Dowell free kick.

I’m not sure whether it was planned or spontaneous but it was a moment of genius thinking using the wall to stay onside as the Arsenal defensive line was a couple of yards higher up.
