what a brilliant last few months. Forest finally step out of the shadows and burst back into life (like fireworks from a greek gyros shop) we upset the establishment by buying decent players and daring to compete. we shake off the dust of our ageing stadium and step into the here and now. believe me, this is not a dream FOREST ARE BACK ! thank you mr Marinakis and son, and thank you Steve Cooper.

New roof supports for Trent End, fill in corners. Don't put 'club shop' in the corner. Would increase seats by 5,000/6,000 for a fraction of the cost. Then an extra 5,000 from the new stand and our capacity will be increased by 10,000 to 40,000. Then the later project to increase Bridgford End comes later. If our club continues to excite our fans (including those who have only just realised that watching the Reds can be an exciting experience}, then this extra capacity will be necessary.
Just saying.

Now all we need is a stadium sponsor. I'm backing the "Japanese Knotweed Stadium"
The f*** Off Kay Cutts Bowl.

I never thought I’d see such interest on the forum in a planning committee (having sat in a few myself).

For the doubters this is another big statement of intent from the owners.

Its a big and important step but only the first.

We supporters need to show patience - this is a big project and not just replacement of a football stand. Securing suitable contractors with skilled workers, and a robust supply chain for all supplies will present big challenges, and impact on timelines. Agreements have to be reached with other parties.

The construction period will also impact on match day experience in many ways - lower capacity, displaced season card holders, match day parking etc. Supporters will be impacted - remember the construction of the Trent End and Bridgford stands.

Once again we will have the largest capacity in the East Midlands and its only the start.

No pain No gain

Patience please
