Imho, I don't think we're anywhere close to that either financially or having the guaranteed fan base.
So you don’t think we could afford to build a new stand now we’re in the prem without the results development? We’ve just spent the best part of £100 million on players and wages..

Like if EM wanted to finance a new stand and fifty blocks of flats he could do so right?

Not saying he would, but he could?

Well, he didn't chose to shit a new stadium. He wanted to build 240 flats to do the shitin for him.

Not at all.

I'm just saying that if it was all down to EM footing the bill, why did he choose to build residential to keep the costs down?
I think that's the point. Build a few flats to keep those build costs down and you have money to spend on other projects, because, judging from comments on here, there are plenty of other projects which need sorting.

I guess because it's not your money, you can be free with the amount spent. I, on the other hand, not having much money, am very cautious how I spend and how much I spend, so I can appreciate EM being thrifty.

So I work for a housing association, previously Clarion and now A2Dominion just for context.

If you're not already aware of it then google the "golden brick" and there's your answer.

Sure EM could go full on build a new stadium etc, but he's wanting sustainable growth with revenue generating towards offsetting FFP.

There's so much scope for extra revenue at Forest, it can't possibly fail because they're going from zero...we've been shit at it. Back of the BC stand has huge scope...tavernas the lot..Eva's grill could get a franchise started.

The entire potential for "Forest Village" in that part of the riverside is massive. Especially given the new apartments that have popped up on Meadow Lane, and the general refurbishments that have been going on in recent years, as well as having the potential to take advantage of events at Trent Bridge as well, is something that won't have escaped attention.
One thing that is obvious, is that get the right people, and our part of Nottingham becomes very favourable for future regeneration and everything else. Whilst some local residents won't like what is happening, I'm sure that others will more than love it.

The idea I had for many years now was creating a kind of multi level structure off the back of the BC stand covering the car park with bars, food outlets, etc. nice view of the river, steps going up to it from each side, bit like they’ve done with these Box Parks you see around the place (see picture below) - cheap to build, easy to run. Great use of the space that currently doing nowt.
