Heffing Psycho!
Steve Chettle
Can't even give him the deserved middle name treatment before he leaves as a mark of respect because he hasn't got one...
I’m not sure he’s up to a gruelling Championship season anymore.Surprised he's not moved to the Championship. Thought maybe Sunderland might be on the cards.
He's 29 so would have had another team/contract after a 2-3 year stint somewhere. Moving to Australia ends his career right here right now.North East England or Sydney, Australia… hmm

All the best Joe and thanks for the memories-your goal in the 5-5 draw at Aston Villa will live long in the
minds of Forest supporters who made the trip that night.
I wonder if it is semi-retirement in his mind. He's a clever lad, already has a degree (in Sports Science I think) and possibly knows that he could do himself some serious damage if he keeps pushing himself at a very competitive level. Wouldn't surprise me if he does his coaching badges over there and retires at 31/32 and then comes back to England to concentrate on management/coaching.He's 29 so would have had another team/contract after a 2-3 year stint somewhere. There can't be too many games in a season in Australia so I doubt he'll be playing many midweek fixtures if any at all, so that should hopefully be a welcome relief if he's still struggling with any long-term physical issues. He'll look brilliant at that level for a couple of years and like you say I imagine he'll definitely be involved in football in a coaching / managerial capacity someday.I wonder if it is semi-retirement in his mind. There’s 12 teams in the A-League, but they have some weird arrangement where each team plays some sides twice and others 3 times…so 26 regular season games then they have a play-off for the top 6 sides as well - so a maximum of 29 season games from October to May - so yeah, not a packed schedule. There can't be too many games in a season in Australia so I doubt he'll be playing many midweek fixtures if any at all
Would he pass a championship medical? Not sure if the compartment syndrome thing would put sides off.Surprised he's not moved to the Championship. Thought maybe Sunderland might be on the cards.
