I can’t believe he played nearly 150 games for us. I’d have said 80 tops
Yep.Swanned around like a strutting peacock and about as much use when needed.
Epitomises everything wrong in today’s game
Let's have this cockwomble where, thankfully, he belongs.
To save you opening up the article, it seems he has set up a company to help football clubs in maintaining pitches
True, given the amount of time he’s spent playing golf instead of football, he should be an expert horticulturalist.Probably learned that on the golf course.
Surprised he played that many to be honest. Seemed to do nothing at Villa and then he went to Luton for a season?Left us at 26, only played another 102 games in his whole career. About 2/3 of what he played for us.
Mad really.
I'm surprised Fawaz hasn't snapped him up on a free to be his personal gardener, caddy and to play FIFA with him.I bet his Golf Handicap has come right down though.
you appear to have miss-spelled C**TFile under ‘wasted talent’
Was he ever actually club captain? I always thought he on-field captain for an extended period of time but I thought Cohen was still club captain (he was just out injured). He made good money out of us too, was better at conning pay rises out of Fawaz than he was football.
Can't forgive him for golfgate, he was club captain ffs. Bollocks to him.
Yeah you're probably right re the captain status. He was the on the field captain at the time when "his head wasn't right" so he played golf with his mates instead of some crap FA cup 3rd round. Or something like that. Was he ever actually club captain? I always thought he on-field captain for an extended period of time but I thought Cohen was still club captain (he was just out injured).
I do see your point though. He hardly covered himself in glory in those last few months, particularly when he allegedly refused to play until Villa signed him. He was a very frustrating and arrogant (plus a walking yellow card). I never really got why successive managers were obsessed with playing him as this deep-lying playmaker like he was Pirlo, when he couldn't tackle and was nothing more than a decent passer. He played his best football under SOD and Billy Mk II where he was more of a box-to-box player and got in around the opposition box.
I only originally named it such because we ended up with about three at one point; the original one, one slagging him off, and another one slagging him off, and I glued them together as part of my regular tidying up.'The Henri Lansbury Superthread', oh brother![]()
I think he had played the "I'm off to Burnley" card to rinse Fawaz for more money too many times, by the time he actually left most were pleased to see the back of the workshy idle fop.Naturally talented football with a poor work ethic and no qualms about pretending to be injured over Christmas so he could have a few drinks and be merry without having to worry about football.
Sort of epitomised that Forest era when we had a few talented players but they were always better at another club, with some of them only here to rinse Forest for money.
That we got £3m with his contract running out in six months was hilarious. As was the "we are definitely going down now" reaction on here at the time when he was sold, only for us to get stronger as a midfield unit and 11 after he left.
Genuinely one of my least favourite Forest players of all time. Shit tattoos too.
The PlayStation Session.I think he had played the "I'm off to Burnley" card to rinse Fawaz for more money too many times, by the time he actually left most were pleased to see the back of the workshy idle fop.
Fawaz is probably thinking "how much am I paying this prick every week and he comes round scoff my mini twix and snickers dress like f***ing Catweazle"
