My only concern is that Ten Hag has to be one of the easiest managers to replace: instant lift just for not being a ****. Honestly think the Sancho thing early doors lost him half his dressing room. (The other problem being the half he bought in were shite!)

Even going back further than that to the Ronaldo powerplay he did. I don't care whether people don't like Ronaldo, he treated him poorly & he was their best player by a mile.

Yup, forgot that. Golden rule is if you're going to be a **** you better be good at your job. Ten Hag was not.

It's a damn shame. Hopefully the next bloke will continue Ten Hag's great work. I think it was Oscar Wilde who said: "Man Utd are terrible. I hope it will last." Wise words.
Oscar also famously said:

„We are all in the gutter, except Man United, they are about seven levels deep in the sewer, swimming in shit“.

I didn’t get thrown off the forum yesterday for saying Derby have good support, so I’ll make another confession today.

I like United fans. Loads of my mates support them. Their dads generally supported them too. They come from places like Salford, Altrincham and Old Trafford and they’re generally not cocky at all.

Maybe they’re different elsewhere in the country, but in Manchester they’re great.

In my view they have the best away fans in the country too.

When I lived in Lymm, and worked in Wythenshawe, I have to agree: the local Man U fans were quite decent.
Before I first moved away from Nottingham I was in the crowd of almost 50,000, but finished up on the Kop amongst a crowd of Man U fans.
Being only a young shaver back in those days i was a tad nervous, but they let me get near the fron so I could see the game, and at half time I even gwas offered coffee and a bit of cake by one matronly lady.
I think the following season the Man U fans trashed on e of the pubs on London Road... I mean really went to town on it.
things were changing in terms of tribalism and football violence around that time.

I haven't forgiven the c***s for Wembley 1992 - the Andrew Plumb Tickets final.

Regardless of how they got there, there's things you don't to to women and kids in the concourse at half time.

I was there that day as an 11-year-old. I was 5/6 rows below some of their mob who jumped up when McClair scored but didn’t leave my seat at HT. What went on? I’ve honestly never heard a definitive account.

It wasn’t just Forest supporters that gave Manu fans a serious kicking in the concourse, the police stood by and and actually some of them waded in.

I was astonished and disgusted at the same time. Part of me wanted those manu fans to get a good hiding but it wasn’t their fault they’d been sold shit tickets in the Forest end was it. Absolute disgrace. 2nd half that block was vacated

Funny that, I remember thinking something like, “Aren’t the coppers and stewards supposed to come streaming down the aisles to sort this out? Nope. All right. Eyes back on the game, then.” Seems the Met’s finest just fancied a nice day out at the football rather do any actual, y’know, police work.

Last time something got this much coverage on tv and radio was when the Queen died

At that 92 cup final the United fans were absolute wankers & got a much deserved kicking in that concourse at HT

United had given Forest a bit of a run around on Kilburn High Street pre-match though

I always say the same about their away fans. Their diehard local fans are pretty sound and the core is a great base. I used to have a couple of mates in Manchester and we’d drink in a pub sometimes in the city centre, it was a United pub, I can’t remember the name but it hadn’t been gentrified (this was 2002 ish). We had a few great nights in there and they were sound.

It’s the same if you ever meet and old school Arsenal fan.
