Whilst you don‘t like to see it on one hand, they have waited 120 years for this, so I for one am inclined to let them off a bit.
I've never been a fan of pitch invasions, the players and coaching staff deserved to celebrate that moment with each other, plus its shit for people in the upper tiers

DAZN reporter Daniel Herzog is trying his best to make report from pitchside, but he‘s been mobbed by ecstatic supporters.

And the Stadium PA is playing „Ve Viva Espana!“ for Xabi Alonso, a man who will never have to buy a drink in Leverkusen, as long as he lives.

It‘s brilliant. As a fully paid-up member of the Anyone-But-Bayern-Club, I love to see this.

Fans have demolished the goal-nets, seeking souvenirs.

And now we have „Sweet Caroline“ blasting out.

Leverkusen‘s first ever German title, and they still have the Europa League and the German Cup final to come.

The „ghosts“ of 2002 and Neverkusen have been well and truly banished.

Michael Ballack is pitchside too, and even he looks a bit choked up.

Florian Wirtz, the hat-trick-hero, being interviewed in his „Meister“ T-Shirt, and he looks as cool as a cucumber.

Tremendous player. I hope he stays at Leverkusen, at least for another year.

I heard Citeh and Real Madrid have been sniffing around. He will probably be getting a lot of big offers this summer.

Jonas Hofmann being interviewed now, and he is trying - badly - to hide the bottle of bier he has been swigging 😂

Until Bayern Munich pick off their best players like they have done in recent years from their nearest rivals
The thing is, other clubs are catching up to Bayern a bit, and it is no longer a case of Bayern, every season, outspending everyone else.

Absolutely, they will be there or thereabouts - they always have been in the last 10-15 years, due simply to their financial clout, but this has generated massive resentment, and there are players who won‘t consider an offer from München, believe it or not.

Jeremie Frimpong's interview was very fun. What a positive character. Haha.
He got mobbed on the pitch and lifted-up by the home supporters, who chaired him off the field. Cracking player.

Xabi Alonso up now, speaking in fluent German of course, he looks like absolutely nothing at all phases him, apart from his „Deutscher Meister“ t-shirt, he looks like he‘s just been for a stroll to the shops.

And he is staying of course for at least another season in Leverkusen.

There was a period around 15 years ago where Stuttgart (1x), Wolfsburg (1x), and Dortmund (2x) won the league in the space of 6 seasons.

I hoped at that time it signified a changing of the guard but then Bayern went on to spend loads of money and won every league title since.

So this feels like such a significant moment, and Dortmund and Stuttgart aren't too far away again too (aswell as RB Leipzig).

Fingers crossed it continues.

That's great to hear and with Alonso staying I can see a lot of players want to play for his team,he's a thoroughly nice guy and a footballing genius.
