His Team talk before the game apparently was to "be yourselves" which funnily enough was the same as the champions league final that they played against Real Madrid and they lost that one as well.

Klopps final glory tour espoused by the scouse friendly media is falling apart and I for one am absolutely delighted.

Bayer Leverkusen are now unbeaten in 42 games in all competitions this season.

That is a new record for German football.

What an absolutely amazing job Xabi Alonso has done there; his side are energetic, enthusiastic and play some great football, and are really entertaining to watch, and, he will be in Leverkusen for at least another season as well.

They only need three more points from six remaining matches in the league to win the Bundesliga, and could do so as soon as this weekend of course, when they face Werder Bremen; but Bremen are a proud side and will fancy their chances at pissing on Die Werkself‘s Frites. It is the late game on Sunday (1630 UK time Kick-Off), and apparently the Meisterschalle will be in Leverkusen, in case the home-side manage the win.

One of my favourite matches this season was the early season draw between them and the VfB, two sides just absolutely going at each other for 90 minutes, with some breathtaking football from both teams.

If this is what a „Farmer‘s League“ is all about, I am here for it!

One more funny thing; the impact of the size of the defeats of both the scousers (0-3) and Wet Sham (0-2) has now brought Germany‘s Bundesliga slightly above the English Premier League in the UEFA coefficient, so - as it stands - Germany might receive an additional place for the new-format „Champions“ League, and the English Premier League would not.
