1. FC Saarbrücken of the German third tier have defeated Bundesliga outfit Borussia Mönchengladbach 2-1 in the DFB-Pokal quarter final, and will play another '1. FC' in the form of second tier side Kaiserslauten, thus at least one side from outside of the Bundesliga will play in the final. MSV Duisburg were the last team from outside the German top flight to reach the final, back in 2011.

Tuned into the Arse-nal game and the first thing I heard from the english commentators "Im not sure the referee has been good tonight" lol, english teams in europe are hilarious.
Note: The stream was the that south african channel, forgot its name as I have switched over to a TNT sports stream with our favorite Forest Fan Darren Fletcher as the commentator.

Hmm, I think you could be onto something here - as long as the teams knocked out early on don’t get rewarded for their failure with a place in the later stages of the UEFA Cup, which I assume we’re also reviving here, along with a European cup competition for the winners of the major domestic cup competitions… (give me a few minutes and I’ll think of a name for that last one)
