Good signing for them, but £10m for a player who's spent most of his career on loan and has had one consistent Premier League season, last year at Aston Villa?

2 England caps in meaningless friendlies and the fact that he made his debut in the Champions League final takes away from that, you could have anyone in there, they could have loaned Blackstock from us and brought him off the bench for the last 5 minutes but I wouldn't call him a Champions League player.
So yes I think £10m is extremely high.

I think you are all underestimating the quality of the team left at Southampton. They've made two potentially excellent signings in Tadic and Pelle. They also have a number of youngsters waiting to burst on to the first team scene such as Targett and Reed.

The only real area of weakness for them is at centre half but they are reportedly in for Rojo.

A team of Boruc, Clyne, Bertrand, Hooiveld, Fonte, Cork, Ward-Prowse, Wanyama, Tadic, Rodriguez, Pelle is plenty good enough to finish 15th or above
