• All - you probably don't need to be told, but....
Despite the Admins' best efforts some spammers/scammers/scalpers are getting through the entry system and are, astonishingly, in possession of FA Cup tickets that they, astonishingly, don't want!

It's probably a scam, and either way it's a criminal offence under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, (as amended by the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006) to offer or expose tickets for sale.

Please DO NOT engage with these people - please REPORT any threads/posts offering tickets for sale in case we've not caught them.
    Thanks!

The last train I got a couple of weeks ago to London I ended up having a row with conductor.

We were crammed in like sardines, I'd paid £230 for a return ticket and still ended up packed into the doors. I couldn't physically move to get my ticket out which he still insisted on seeing. I told him he'd have to throw me off the train before he'd get to see it. Luckily upon seeing this, everyone around me who was also thoroughly pissed off and would have to do the same battle of trying to search for a ticket whilst not being able to move decided to back me. They all piped up and said well you're not seeing mine either he's right.

Utter shitshow shambles whilst paying through the nose.

Just counted 33 on the map. A few are being rereleased. Saw two on the lower tier pop up this afternoon
There were a few that were highlighted in light blue so obviously in people's baskets and always a chance they don't purchase them in time if they are hunting for another ticket

You won't be surprised to hear it was an EMR "service" that I caught.

Disgrace is correct. Clueless, the lot of them. It's almost like it's run by MP's as it's disgraceful, inept and hasn't got a clue.

Be reassured that ‘Avanti’ (who do the Manchester to London route) are overpriced, unreliable and squalid. Virgin, who previously ran the service, were overpriced but otherwise good.

Why don't the train operators run Football Supporters coaches any more?
I know there were historic problems of trains being trashed, but they could place Railway police in each carriage, even 2 per carriage.
This country has gone to the dogs!

Very much down to single seats dotted about. There might be a few more released or returned from corporates and if that's the case, it'll go to window 7, but it'll be unlikely that people will be able to get seats together.

I asked EMR this a few seasons ago. Asking if they could lay on a later evening train back to London after a night match. Currently the last train leaves shortly before the end of the match.
They emailed me back with a load of word salad that amounted to it wouldn't be profitable for them.

I think EMR must be the worst (or close to it) train operator in the country.

I thought the railways were a strategic national resource, not a profit maker for rich foreigners

Just had a look for a mate who can buy tomorrow what the current situation is for tickets and there was literally 1 I could see solid blue and 2 light blue in people's baskets doesn't look like there will be a sales window tomorrow to me

Do you just roll up to the JustPark drive you have booked and park? No checking in at the house etc? Or is it different in every case? In other words, you sort it with the owner in each case.

Not thinking of the Wembley game, just generally. Seems a jolly good idea.

Looks like all tickets are now sold.

On Saturday we had 3 carriages from Skeggy on the way at half 9 but only 2 an hour later when more fans are travelling. This resulted in people scrambling to get on at Grantham. My mate was on this one and witnessed it getting very heated at Grantham station.
The way back was when the fun really began. We got on the 6.45 which was again 2 carriages. Obviously this was over capacity but was made worse by the train scheduled to leave an hour later being cancelled. When they finally got everyone in we left 20 minutes late. We then had an announcement that the Aslockton stop had been cancelled so those people had to get off at Bingham.
On reaching Sleaford an apology was issued as anyone connecting for Lincoln / Doncaster would now have a wait as we had missed the connection.
The whole hour and half journey was spent standing.
Sorry people of Ladybay but my car will parked in your area next home game.
I did try.

I've just rolled up and parked tidily.

In one case the house owner popped out to ask if I would please park on the other side of the otherwise empty drive - maybe he was expecting an odd size vehicle or whatever, but my experience is just turn up and parked sensibly

Yes, used many times before. No need to check in with the owner. I would read the online reviews of the space before you book it- these are always honest by previous people parking.
I managed to get Stanmore for £7 for Wembley.
Only ever had one bad experience which was Man Utd away last season, it was parking in a pub car park, on arrival a bloke in high vis demanded payment despite the fact I had already paid. I left a terrible review for this site and complained to JustPark and received a full refund.

I was on that train - which was the only way of getting back to London given that the St Pancras line was closed due to being electrified. You would have thought they’d have put more carriages on - but clearly nobody at EMR had considered it might be a bit busy… was a nightmare in both directions.

EMR must be the worst of the lot.

I live in Asklockon and was going to train it back on Saturday but foresaw the pending carnage with the cancelled services so got bus back to Bingham and the Mrs picked me up.

I normally go East Coast Main Line into London for work but used EMR from Nottm a few weeks back. Never again. 3rd rate service but still cost a fortune.

Occasionally we get a third carriage but that's it. I've been on it half a dozen times this season when I've fancied a beer and it's always bad. They regularly cancel the one but last train for some reason
